MN: PSG insist on signing €50m Milan star but key obstacle remains – the situation

By Isak Möller -

After a slow start to the season, Ismael Bennacer has certainly lived up to the hype created after the African cup of Nations. The Algerian is one of AC Milan’s best players and it’s no surprise that he has attracted some interest.

According to MilanNews.it, Paris Saint-Germain haven’t stopped pushing for Bennacer. Leonardo remains very keen on convincing the midfielder, promising him a spot in a team that plays for the title and competes in Champions League every year.

Milan, however, have no intention of parting ways with the Algerian and have repeatedly shut down the interest of the French side. Bennacer has a €50m release clause in his contract, but it will only be valid from next season.

Therefore, the Rossoneri are confident that they can keep their star despite PSG’s constant interest. Bennacer is doing very well and has grown a lot in the second half of the season, becoming a fundamental pivot for Stefano Pioli’s line-up.
