MN: Rangnick and the economic dispute with Red Bull – what it means for Milan

By Isak Möller -

Termination clause or severance pay? This is a question that many Milan fans have asked themselves with regards to Ralf Rangnick’s arrival at the club, given that the German is still under contract with the Red Bull empire.

According to MilanNews.it, these are bureaucratic issues that the Milan can’t do anything about. It’s difficult to imagine that such an important detail has been kept a secret by Rangnick, meaning it’s all part of the normal process.

Rangnick, along with his entourage, has been working for weeks on the termination of the contract with Red Bull. The latter have already prepared for his departure by promoting Oliver Mintzlaff to ‘Head of Global Soccer’.

The parties will have to reach an agreement on the numbers, given that the manager has obtained various bonuses over the years, which shouldn’t be an issue in the end. Elliott have put their trust in Rangnick and his three-year program starting next season.

It’s also undeniable, as the report continues, that Elliott appreciate Stefano Pioli’s work and the results of the last two weeks have made the switch a little less simple, which has already been decided.

Only in the event of a break between Rangnick and Red Bull, Pioli could be confirmed as the Milan manager. In the meantime, Pioli and his staff are continuing to work with great professionalism for the club’s best.
