MN: Rapprochement in CDK-Atalanta talks means €30m operation is now imminent

In the last few days, there had been some slowdowns in the negotiations between Milan and Atalanta for Charles De Ketelaere, but things are back on the right track.

As MilanNews report, the player’s entourage made specific requests regarding commissions and the player’s salary in the event that the initial loan deal were to become a permanent switch.

However, in the last few hours there have been some steps forward between the agents of the Belgian playmaker and the club from Bergamo. Now the atmosphere is positive and the operation is one step away from closure.

De Ketelaere is ready to move to Atalanta on a loan deal that will cost €3m, with an option to buy set at €23m and €4m in bonuses. A percentage on the future resale of the player could also be included.

In this way, if the loan became a permanent at the end of the season, the Rossoneri would be able to recoup the investment made last summer.

  1. This 30 mln deal really works for Milan. While getting 3 million straight, they get rid of his salary. When Atalanta actually bought him at the end of the season, or the beginning of the next, Milan has his onerous value reduced (on two years, instead of one) on the book and could register his transfer as a capital gain.
