MN: Renewal of Colombo’s contract was discussed in meeting with entourage

By Oliver Fisher -

The AC Milan management met with the entourage of Lorenzo Colombo this evening at Casa Milan, and the renewal of his contract was talked about.

According to what is being reported by MilanNews, a meeting took place today at the Milan headquarters between Milan and the agents of Colombo which lasted for just under an hour and a half.

What has filtered is that Monza are the team that seems to want to close a loan deal for the 21-year-old, thus overcoming competition from Genoa and Cagliari who have just been promoted back to Serie A.

Those two teams have been pursuing Colombo for some time, but Monza’s sudden emergence is tough to ignore given their ambitions for the coming season.

Another interesting note emerged: Colombo will first renew his contract with Milan before any decision is made, also given that his current deal is set to expire in June 2025.

  1. Give him a new contract and give him a chance in the first team, we are going to have a busy season and he will get plenty of game time, we need to trust in our homegrown talent, we are already Inter in disguise, we need some identity in our ranks, some Italian spirit.
A team was created in Milano to accommodate all the internationals and that team is not called AC Milan, seems history is forgotten now
