MN: Still ‘some resistance’ from Brugge in De Ketelaere talks with Milan – the situation

By Isak Möller -

Charles De Ketelaere is just one step away from completing a move to AC Milan, who have been working on his arrival over the last few weeks. Today, the Rossoneri made important steps, a report claims.

Club Brugge’s playmaker is the ideal profile for Milan as Stefano Pioli has asked for a versatile player. The 21-year-old can play as the No.10 and as the right-winger, which is perfect for the Rossoneri’s 4-2-3-1 formation.

According to MilanNews, important steps were taken today in the negotiations between Milan and Club Brugge. There is still ‘some resistance’ from the latter with regards to the transfer fee, but there is great optimism that an agreement can be reached.

Milan have shown their willingness to increase their offer and De Ketelaere is pushing for the move. Unless anything very surprising happens, then the playmaker will be a new Rossoneri player very soon (perhaps already in the coming days).

  1. Unless we run upon a Juve-Inter situation in relation to Bremer…Hijacking is always possible if you do not time your negotiations well.

      1. But Leeds may triple his current salary, and huge salary is better option to choose than being playing in the UCL.

  2. People on this site would do themselves a great service looking up a site like News Now. under the category of football and ac milan and now see how these stories pumped out on a daily basis is pretty much the same with small variations. 1 Story turns to ten articles, pretty easy for all to see
rather confident that cdk will arrive in a couple of days.

  3. I am also rather confident. But I am not celebrating until medicals are booked.

There are a lot of voices, but there are some that are worth listening to, for instance Vitiello in this case.

    1. Neither am I as unforseen things can always happen but a few days to a week and i would be surrprised if he hasnt signed or at least are in milano to get it done.

  4. Something is not right with milan negotiation style ,if juventus or inter Milan offer something smaller club Brugge will sell this kid to them ,we always struggle to complete a transfer deal ,even keeping players …even free players always give milan issues to complete ,I miss the old milan wen players can pay part to remain or come

  5. I doubt this goes through and if it does, it should have been done a week ago. Why every target we go for has to take weeks of meetings and go down to the wire with someone reporting that if ‘they don’t budge milan will look to other targets’. How do we expect to go back to the top of football when we can’t bring in players we originally want and get plan c

  6. Too much delay in the process of selling a deal why the delay. Are they relungtant or what we are very eager to see our new number ten player please

  7. Some of you guys need to take a break during off seasons too, always overreacting to recycled articles.

What will be, will be. If he comes, great, otherwise life goes on. We have missed out on some great players in the past, and made some good purchases too. Even if CDK (or any other players for that matter) joined us, it guarantees nothing. Some of you sneered when we signed Kalulu instead of a more established names and now everyone is acting like they saw this development coming from miles away.

  8. “Cheap Joe Milan”!!
How often do you hear clubs in one of the top 5 leagues in Europe “after been champions🏆” handle just one major transfer deal all season like they are scraping for a living or just dumpster diving, It makes me sad.

How be it historically clubs about to be taken over by a knew owner of come with some promises, at list a respectable purse for the market, not necessarily large purse but respectable to give the management and fan base some moral.

Yet I have seen people argue in total support of Milan’s behaviour sometimes, like the club value haven’t grown since they came back into the top four or returned to the Champions League.

I thought Milan sponsorship deals got better, this is one of the most successful Clubs in the Universe at list that should count for something.

My Argument If you are going to get only one or two players to add to the dept and quality of your team please do it with some self respect.

  9. Apart from sealing CDK deal, why is Milan not looking at Barcelona’s Depay? He’s a top top player and he can play in that role too

  10. CDK soon to be a leeds player. Our beloved team is gonna suffer.

Sorry for being pessimistic but i am just furious at thr management for making a mockery of the fans.

  11. it will be close between Juve and inter for 1st and 2nd . then I see Milan, Napoli and Roma battling for 3rd and 4th place.
