MN: Scan identifies injury sustained by Milan star Kjaer – when he should return

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan defender Simon Kjaer appears set to miss at least a week after he underwent a scan on his thigh injury, according to a report.

The Milan coaching staff have been waiting with baited breath to find out the extent of the injury sustained by Kjaer. He pulled up with an injury while Celtic were on the attack during the opening stages of last night’s 4-2 win and Alessio Romagnoli came on in his place, but now attention has turned to Kjaer’s condition.

According to what is being reported by Anto Vitiello of MilanNews, tests have shown that Kjaer sustained a first degree lesion to his right thigh muscle.

A new medical test will take place within a week to evaluate the evolution of his condition, but it seems almost certain that he will miss the next two games, which are Sampdoria away (Sunday) and Sparta Praha (next Thursday).

In a follow-up tweet, he added: “Making some calculations the target is Lazio before the break, otherwise he will be back on January 3rd with Benevento.”
