AC Milan have partaken in training today, and whilst some players are showing positive signs of returning soon, they may have to wait a little longer until they can be involved on a matchday.
With the Udinese fixture approaching, players are being evaluated for their fitness and injury levels, and this includes the returning players from international duty. This is also the case for players who have been sidelined through injury.
Today, Ruben Loftus-Cheek took part in training, and there is confidence that he will be in the squad for the clash against the Friulani. However, Marco Sportiello and Davide Calabria – who also trained today but on different programmes – will probably not be in contention, as reported by Milan News.
Both players took part in personalised plans, and although they are both progressing well, there is a reluctance to risk them early on. Especially in Calabria’s case, given he has suffered muscle injuries already this season.
Instead, they should be in the squad for the Champions League clash against Club Brugge.
Samuel Chukwueze was also present at Milanello today, and the belief was that he would be missing this weekend’s fixture after picking up an injury on international duty. However, reports suggest he is well.
