MN: The position of Milan on the Super League fiasco emerges – the latest

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have still not yet formally withdrawn from the Super League project and the club’s stance has been outlined.

MilanNews are reporting that Milan has nothing to add to what has just been declared by the Vice President of the Super League, Andrea Agnelli. Asked whether the project could still happen after the exits, Agnelli said (via Sky Sports News): “To be frank and honest no, evidently that is not the case.

The report adds that Milan were invited to participate in a project that could not exclude the Rossoneri due to their prestige and tradition. This project has effectively closed, and Milan will therefore continue, as always, to focus on the league and work to make the club grow.

Whether this implies that we can expect an official statement to confirm the club’s withdrawal from the Super League competition – like Inter did earlier today – is not made clear.
