MN: The reason behind Boban’s absence during Milanello summit

By Isak Möller -

This morning, there was a summit between Maldini, Massara and the manager Giampaolo at Milanello, following the 1-3  loss on Sunday evening against Fiorentina. However, one man was missing.

The Rossoneri’s Chief Football Officer, Zvonimir Boban, wasn’t present at the meeting and up until a few minutes ago, this fueled the rumours of a crisis within the club. Now, MilanNews.it has provided us with the reason behind the Croatian’s absence.

Instead of the meeting at Milanello, Boban was at Casa Milan to take part in some other meetings. Therefore, he wasn’t able to make it to the training ground in time, meaning the reason wasn’t related to him reportedly wanting to sack Giampaolo.

On Saturday evening, Milan will face Genoa away from home and it will most likely be Giampaolo’s last chance to save his job. Should they lose, then the San Siro side will be looking for a new manager during the international break.
