MN: Theo Hernandez’ impressive Milan debut; the numbers

By Isak Möller -

After recovering from his ankle injury, which kept him out for the first two games of the season, Theo Hernandez is back at Giampaolo’s disposal. However, the manager has opted for Rodriguez from start in the last two games, only using the Frenchman for 18 minutes thus far.

Against Inter, the left-back came on in the second half to replace Rodriguez, who had put in a terrible performance. Unlike his teammate, Hernadez performed really well during the little time he got, as highlighted by MilanNews.it this morning, pointing to his impressive stats.

The former Real Madrid man had an impressive pass success of 100%, completing four passes in his own half and eleven in the opposing half. Furthermore, he completed 4/4 tackles without causing a free-kick, while also winning three free-kicks. As the report concluded, he also completed 1/1 dribbles.

In other words, a very competent performance by the new signing. In spite of this, Gazzetta Dello Sport’s most recent predicted line-up (via SempreMilan.com) has him on the bench once again, which most likely won’t go down well with the fans.
