MN: Three reasons why Milan should make a move for Berardi this summer

By Isak Möller -

Domenico Berardi has been linked with AC Milan in the last few months and in the summer, the operation could be proved by the Rossoneri. A reinforcement that no doubt would improve their right-wing department.

Alexis Saelemaekers and Junior Messias have both struggled to impose themselves this season, with six goals scored combined. Milan need their right-wingers to do better and that’s why a reinforcement is more or less expected in the summer.

As highlighted by MilanNews, Berardi could be the one. Stefano Pioli wanted him already last summer but the high demands of Sassuolo blocked the negotiations. A year later, the situation is a bit different with the winger looking to move on.

This season, Berardi has bagged an impressive 14 goals and 14 assists for Sassuolo, proving that he’s a very lethal winger. While some are convinced that he’s not a player for a big team, it seems he has found the serenity needed to make the big leap, also gaining more experience by playing with the national team.

In addition to these two points, he would be a good signing from a bureaucratic point of view as he counts as an Italian-raised player. This is good both for the Serie A as well as Champions League squad rules.

  1. Three reasons why Milan should not make a move for Berardi this summer.

    1. He is a great mediocre player, but nothing more than that
    2. He breaks under pressure which he demonstrated, over and over again in the National Team
    3. He is overpriced, club can do much better for far less.

    1. stop taking National team form into account you people only have that one argument, try to learn something new for once

then why does Immobile perform outside of National team?

Now you gonna say Serie A doesnt count, well we bloody play in it thats where we need players to perform not for Italy

    2. Becareful my friend, belotti and Berardi fanboy Will atack you and say you hated Italian player. Weka weka weka . Cannot stop laugh

  2. Totally disagree. He has not shown himself at higher levels and will be 29 this season if not mistaken. IMO we need more speed and more of a dynamic player. For 30M we could do much better. Now if he only cost half that amount (15m) then I may have to change my opinion. But for 30M it’s a pass. If you want an “Italian” player I’d rather us take our chances on Zaniolo for that amount of $$

    1. Zaniolo scores max. 5 goals per season and MAYBE assists another 5. Is that what we want or need? Nope. Berardi does double digits on both categories. That’s what we need.

    2. Zaniolo is young and can still learn. If he is willing and able, that is another thing. Mancini after the last game in NT, where he was even worse than Gigio, said he needs to learn how to play with others. Nainggolan, who was his teammate at a time said he is not a player of the moment, he is not the one that will make a difference. If the team plays like sh*t, he isn’t the one to take it upon himself to make the necessary change.

So basically he is Berardi only younger. Yes he should have room for improvement, but is he capable to do it mentally… I’m not sure.

And again, because he is an Italian, he is way, way overpriced. We can do much better for less.

  3. Beradi tốt nhưng hết tiềm năng nên xem xét raspadori, zaniolo, karakete. Họ đá nhìu vị trí hàng công.

  4. He is already 28 years old and his club’ keep asking 35m euro cash. Elliot only want invest 35m euro to younger player that have experience internasional 20-23 years player

  5. Berardi is as slow as Messias Milan need a player as quick as Leao at that position, they should try and get a Speedster with quick feet
