AC Milan are set to have even more selection issues when they welcome Atalanta to San Siro on Saturday night, a report claims.
Simon Kjaer was replaced at half-time in Cagliari on Monday, but the Danish defender was in fact taken off as a precaution as per Stefano Pioli’s comments after the game.
According to what is being reported by Anto Vitiello of MilanNews, the discomfort in his back is still there but the Dane will grit his teeth. He did athletic work along with the rest of the players who started the game in Cagliari.
New signing Mario Mandzukic joined group training for the first time and worked with the players who trained on the pitch (those who did not play in Cagliari).
However, there is some bad news as midfielder Ismael Bennacer did personalised work, which means that he will more than likely miss the Atalanta game as he continues to recover from a muscle problem.
