MN: Why Theo Hernandez has been left out of Milan-Udinese

By Oliver Fisher -

There was some surprise when the team sheets were handed out in the press area at San Siro as Theo Hernandez’s name did not appear in the starting line-up or even on the bench.

According to what is being reported by MilanNews, Theo will not play any part in Milan’s game against Udinese at San Siro tonight despite the fact he was named in all the probable XIs in the build-up. The reason is that the Frenchman is unavailable due to a bruised ankle, as per the club.

Milan were hoping to be able to field their first choice defence with Theo joined by Davide Calabria, Malick Thiaw and Fikayo Tomori, but instead they will have to do without a key player once again.

With the former Real Madrid man unavailable it takes the total of Milan players out for today’s match to nine, with the list as follows: Marco Sportiello, Pierre Kalulu, Marco Pellegrino, Mattia Caldara, Ismael Bennacer, Christian Pulisic, Samuel Chukwueze, Simon Kjaer and Theo.

Why didn’t Pioli play two points up front to score goals with the tactic being long balls in the undine box?
Pioli is not the answer for Milan to be any treat to the top teams or in Europe
PSG game might be his swan song?
