Monza head coach Palladino responds to idea of Ibrahimovic joining

By Oliver Fisher -

Monza head coach Raffaele Palladino has suggested that he would be open to working with Zlatan Ibrahimovic amid rumours linking the striker with a move there.

Calciomercato.com write how Palladino has just renewed his contract with Monza until 2024 and Adriano Galliani could provide him with a gift ahead of the new season as he is seriously considering signing Ibrahimovic.

The Swede will say goodbye to Milan tomorrow after a complicated season to say the least from a physical point of view with only four appearances and one goal.

What does Palladino think of Zlatan’s possible arrival at Monza? He spoke about it at the press conference, not closing the door to the idea of working alongside the 41-year-old.

“We haven’t talked about any player, I’ll see Galliani on Monday and we’ll start talking to identify the right men for this Monza. Zlatan is a champion, we will evaluate everything, for the great champions it is obvious that there is always room,” he said.

Ibrahimovic has a great relationship with Monza CEO Galliani and the owner Silvio Berlusconi, who brought him to Milan back in 2010, so it is possible that they could have a preferential lane in the bid to sign him.

  1. If things don’t work out with Pioli in Milan, Palladino or De Zerbi should be in our consideration for the man in charge.
