CM: Monza offer and Milan priority – what filters regarding Ibrahimovic’s future

By Oliver Fisher -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic recently obtained the record for the oldest scorer in the history of Serie A, but it does not feel as though his career is coming to a close just yet.

As Calciomercato.com report, that goal against Udinese has increased the Swede’s desire to continue playing and he seems to have reached the decision to keep going as a player despite receiving offers from a number of different clubs for different roles.

Adriano Galliani is seriously considering making an offer to Ibrahimovic to try and bring him to Monza, something which could develop in the coming weeks. The pair know each other well, and he would represent a marquee signing for the Brianza.

However, Milan are always Ibrahimovic’s priority and before listening to any new offers, he wants to understand what Ricky Massara and Paolo Maldini’s plans will be. This is a phase of reflection because the directors want to see how the season ends before making a decision on the Swede and the attacking department in general.

The feeling at present is that Zlatan’s second adventure with Milan is more likely to end in June than continue, but he could well be moving just up the road.
