AC Milan are planning to finally close the signing of a new central defender over the weekend as talks continue over Marco Pellegrino, it is claimed.
Fabrizio Romano reported this morning that Milan are advancing in talks to sign Pellegrino from Club Atletico Platense. The management want to add one more centre-back before the window closes, and the 21-year-old is the favourite option.
Meanwhile, numerous sources have stated that Platense’s president is actually due in Italy very shortly to hold face-to-face discussions with the Rossoneri management and potentially close the deal quickly.
According to the latest update from Matteo Moretto of Relevo, Pellegrino is the central defender that Milan want and have chosen, confirming the other information circulating.
Over the weekend, the Diavolo plan to close the agreement with Platense and give Stefano Pioli some defensive cover after the departure of Matteo Gabbia and amid the doubts over Simon Kjaer’s fitness.
Transfermarkt says his value is 400k and we are apparently going to spend 10M on him?? Doesn’t seem to add up. Even 5M seems too much perhaps.
Transfermarketweb is notorious for underpricing players. Stop using them as some sort of gold standard so you can bash management and then praise Maldini. It isn’t going to be 10 million either.
400k is not an updated figure. Transfermarkt prices are not updated very often it seems, and the usually underprice players.
I’d prefer the Greek guy as he looks stronger, has experience from Europe and is two years younger. He might cost slightly more, but he has the quality to match that price tag and is less of a wild card than Pellegrino…
He’s going to end up in the Premier League.
Not the type of negotiation that would work for Milan.
Left footed cb is always welcomed.
Can he also play as LB?
If he can then milan don’t need to sign another lb.
Just like kalulu who can be rotated between cb and rb
Did he will end like Leo Duarte?
At least he sounds Italian, right? Close enough.
Great, so someone from the other side of the world to block one of our homegrown talents from proceeding, good job, seems we will forget about Bartesaghi then, oh well like the previous comment, at least he sounds italian
Welcome to internazionale !!!
