Moretto: Juventus to swoop in as Milan’s attempt to sign right-back fails

AC Milan made an attempt to sign Vitória SC right-back Alberto Costa in the last few days. However, according to a report, it failed and Juventus could now secure the player.

Geoffrey Moncada and Zlatan Ibrahimovic have been looking at many different players so far, and in several roles as well. The right-back is seemingly one of the positions they want to reinforce, perhaps more so for the summer and next season.

According to Matteo Moretto, Milan made an attempt to sign Alberto Costa from Vitória SC in the last few days. However, the negotiations never really took off and it seems the Rossoneri have moved on already, leaving the door open for others.

The 21-year-old is pushing for a move to Sporting, who have tabled a €12m bid, but Brighton have offered more and Juventus are also preparing to make an official bid. As per Moretto, the Portuguese side would like to wait until the summer to sell Costa, but everything depends on the figures.

There is still quite a lot of time left in this window but it’s clear that Milan are moving on several fronts, evaluating all potential opportunities to reinforce the squad. It just remains to be seen if they will put their money where their mouths are.

  1. There is a kid on loan at Juve Stabia (from Fiorentina), Nicolo Fortini who is 12 months from exploding onto the scene.

He’s is something between Theo and Bellanova as a physical specimen but is more rounded in both phases of the game.

He’s a right footer who plays RB, LB, RWB, LWB and LW and RW.

Could spend a few mill now or wait and then pretend to get in a race when he is out of our price range.
