Musah discusses his best position and Udinese clash: “We have to win”

By Isak Möller -

Ahead of tonight’s clash between AC Milan and Udinese, which is scheduled for 20:45 CET, Yunus Musah spoke to the media about the Rossoneri’s situation. He explained what needs to be done to clinch all three points.

Milan are heading into the clash three games winless, now in dire need of all three points amidst the recent negativity around the club. Musah will play from start yet again as Ruben Loftus-Cheek isn’t quite ready, having just recovered from his injury.

Speaking briefly to MilanTV, as cited by MilanNews, the American shared his thoughts on his best position. He also explained that Milan will be up against a low-sitting defence this evening, which requires a different style of attacking.

“I was welcomed very well by everyone from the first day, I feel the trust of Mr Pioli and my teammates. My best position? Certainly in midfield as a mezz’ala. This evening, we will have to be good at breaking down their defence, they will leave little space but we have to win,” he stated.

Stefano Pioli has switched to a 4-4-2 formation and this means Musah will be on the right flank, with Luka Jovic and Olivier Giroud up front. The former Valencia man did well in a similar position against Hellas Verona, even if he evidently prefers a three-man midfield.
