AC Milan have had a long-standing interest in Darwin Nunez ahead of the summer mercato. However, they may miss out.

The interest in Nunez, at least now, goes back to December, when Milan reportedly were considering making an offer towards the end of January. As we know, nothing ever happened. However, their interest has not died down.

So, with Liverpool making the striker ‘available’, there is a chance that the Rossoneri make a move in the summer mercato. But, they will not be the only ones considering doing so. In fact, CaughtOffside reports that there are several European clubs involved.

At present, though, it is Napoli who are leading proceedings, and a loan formula is being imagined by the Serie A club, which is their priority. However, the Reds expect much of the interest to be regarding a loan deal.

It is also reported that a swap deal could be ideal for the Merseyside club. So, with their interest in Christian Pulisic, who is reported to be unhappy, the Uruguayan could be used as a bargaining chip to lower the price.

Considering Igli Tare has not arrived yet, we will start to see more about the future in the next few weeks.

  1. I dunno but I think “being unhappy” isn’t the same as “wanting guarantees”. He might be the happiest guy on the planet but still want reassurances about the upcoming season and the club’s intentions/ambitions.

  2. Typical. One of my dream players for years, and a perfect fit for the way Milan wants to play football… And now Darwin goes to Napoli.

Tells you how much shambles we are in as a club. Milan www the first team interested in Darwin Nunez, long before he was targeted by Liverpool and all the other big clubs. Milan held talks but didn’t want to pay. Continuesly since then, Milan have had Darwin on their radar, and now that he is finally available, he goes to a different team in Serie A. Pathetic

    1. He is just an expensive Tammy Abraham, runs a lot, work hard but wayward finishing. I am not sure why Milan should spend money on Nunez when they are going to let go tammy.

  3. Pulišić stated many times before he feels great in Italy and Milano. All these rumours around him being unhappy is media bs.

Now, him wanting reassurance? That’s a different matter but only natural when ownership and management are incompetent, have no ambition to win and are in this for participation and re-selling. I’d have my doubts too.
