Nesta sends advice to Milan and reveals their key to success: “You can do anything”

Ahead of the game between AC Milan and Atalanta, which will kick off in less than 30 minutes, Rossoneri legend Alessandro Nesta shared his thoughts on the clash. He sent an important message to the players.

Milan are just four points from clinching their first Scudetto since the 2010/11, when Nesta was the starting centre-back for the team. A lot of time has passed since and now the Rossoneri have the chance to do it again.

Speaking to MilanTV ahead of the game, as cited by MilanNews, Nesta shared his thoughts on the game and he also gave some advice for Pioli and the players. He also got some praise in there, of course.

What is the emotion, back here at San Siro?

“I haven’t been here for a long time, the crowd that will be here today reminds me of when we won the Scudetto years ago against Roma.”

What has changed in Milan?

“We have found that spirit of the past, that sense of belonging that makes the difference. With this emotion, you can do anything.”

On Kalulu and Tomori…

“Two modern centre-backs, they work with high pressure and with a lot of space behind them. They allow the team to stay high, today they are fundamental.”

On Tonali…

“He can go really far if he has this personality.”

How are these matches experienced?

“When it’s so hot, there are those who cry and those who rejoice, today you play for the story, for the work of a year. You have to be mentally perfect.”

What advice would you give to the team as a coach?

“You have to arrive mentally perfect, without uncertainties. This team is made to attack and play games openly.”

As said, Milan need four points from the remaining two games to secure the Scudetto, provided that Inter win all of their games. The Nerazzurri will face Cagliari after Milan’s game tonight and the Sardinian side is fighting for salvation.
