GdS: News on Tomori, Bennacer and Maignan expected in next 48 hours ahead of Spurs game

By Oliver Fisher -

There will be some news on three crucial players within the next 48 hours in view of next Tuesday’s Champions League last 16 game against Spurs, a report claims.

According to what La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) are reporting this morning, in the next couple of days hours Milan will carry out new scans on their injured players to understand how the recovery of Mike Maignan, Fikayo Tomori and Ismael Bennacer is proceeding.

All three are pushing to be available in a week’s time against Tottenham in the Champions League last 16 first leg at San Siro, but there are no guarantees that any of them will be there at present.

The chances of Maignan and Bennacer being there are not high because the goalkeeper still needs to intensify his work on the pitch, while the first estimates for the Algerian midfielder spoke of a return in the second half of February.

On the other hand, there is more optimism that Tomori could be back for the match against the London club, with more expected to be known by tomorrow at the latest.
