Tuttosport: Nkunku’s agent could ‘take action’ to find January move – the likely destination

Christopher Nkunku only joined AC Milan a few months ago, and yet it cannot be ruled out that he leaves in January.

According to Tuttosport (via Radio Rossonera), the attack is likely where the Milan management will focus their attention during the upcoming winter transfer window. Santiago Gimenez’s possible extended lay-off has further accelerated this need, but he isn’t the only one struggling.

Doubts over Nkunku

If Niclas Fullkrug has quickly climbed the hierarchy becoming the Rossoneri’s main target for the winter mercato, the paper goes on to add that the ‘dance of the strikers’ could also end up impacting Nkunku.

The Frenchman, who arrived in the summer for €37m plus €5m in bonuses (that are difficult to obtain) is experiencing a worrying impasse with zero goals scored in the league and the only assist provided on Sunday for Davide Bartesaghi.

His agent, Pini Zahavi, could take action to find a new solution for his client. In this sense it seems clear that only the Arab market could be viable due to the figures relating to the transfer fee and salary.

Nkunku earns €5m net per season which is another issue for Milan, who have given a hefty salary to a player that so far is doing very little to prove that he was worth the investment.

    1. Wash your mouth with soap and don’t you ever dare to compare Furlani to the legend of Maldini again or you will be forced to wear a Dunce Cap forever in the future 😡

    2. selective memory? Origi was a bad signing. everyone agrees, but to compare it to Furlani is to ignore all the great signings he did.

      1. Agree Maldini did a splendid job with fairly little cash and bigger restraints and not to forget that in the case of Origi he even came for free and is paid 5.9 gross pr. year while Nkunku is at a 11.570 mil gross pr. year and he cost the club 37 mil on top of that might exceed to as far as 41 mil with bonuses. Quite the difference and a hell of a lot more money down the drain.

        1. 100%. Nevermind all of the other terrible decisions Furlani has had a hand in. If Maldini got canned for Origi and CDK, then Furlani would need to be fired at the end of this season. Since he’s Cardinale’s lap dog, he won’t be and the farce of having a director of football (Tare) that can’t operate freely will continue.

          1. To be fair I think he is more Elliot managements lapdog either way I wouldn’t have the slightest issue seeing him leave the club. Either way if Maldini was sacked on the grounds of bad decisions I agree Furlani certainly has his share as well. In the end I think Maldini was sacked probably due to a combination of two mishapped transfers while also being a bit to openmouthed for Cardinales taste after the CL semi loss. Maldini didn’t ask ffor much though and those who followed him has had far more freer hands than he did both in fees and wages.

  1. Even Origi scored two goals. And was cheaper. I hope Nkunku can com up with something. Sometimes players need time or to find the right use for him. He gets very isolated in the position he is in right now.

  2. The only flipside is Origi didnt want to play , didnt care about his fitness or international career just wanted to milk the contract. No concept of continuing as a professional.

Nkunku (I think…) really cares about being in 🇫🇷 Les Bleus and so wont sit out his contract on the bench. Will accept loan or permanent moves, but personally I think he’ll even try to improve his fitness and work to be a useful squad member here in Rossoneri.

Time will tell, he certainly needs to show much more than he has done.

    Forza Milan

  3. I know the bar is incredibly low with Nkunku, but Frenchie has been less terrible with each game so far… Who knows, maybe Allegri can “will” him back into form given our injuries …
