Official: AC Milan confirm Brahim Diaz has tested negative for Covid-19

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have officially announced that Brahim Diaz has tested negative for Covid-19 meaning his return to the fold is imminent.

During a press conference ahead of the game against Hellas Verona, Stefano Pioli revealed that Diaz hadn’t been feeling well and there was some worry as he had been training with the team including Theo Hernandez, who also got the virus. Either way, it was announced on the club’s website that evening that he had tested positive.

A statement on the club’s official website today has confirmed that the Spanish playmaker has now recovered from Covid and is testing negative, which is a fantastic boost to Stefano Pioli who – in the absence of Junior Messias – has been forced to use Rade Krunic and Daniel Maldini in the attacking midfielder role.

Of course it is unlikely Brahim will feature tonight against Torino given his absence from training, but he could return in time for the Roma game.
