Official: AC Milan suspend training until March 23 – the situation

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan’s training was initially scheduled to continue on Monday. However, this won’t be the case as the club have announced a new date, following the Coronavirus outbreak all over the world and especially in Italy.

All the top five European leagues have been suspended due to the virus, and with the Rossoneri players hoping not to catch it, the only sensible decision is to avoid training until further notice. After all, it could be a while before we see a game again.

On their official website this afternoon, Milan announced that the players will be back at Milanello on March 23rd. However, things could change quickly and it remains to be seen if this decision will stand.

For now, we can only hope that Italy can fight back against the Coronavirus, just like China have managed in recent days. Certainly, it has become clear that there are more important things in life than sport.
