AC Milan have announced that they will wear the special edition kit to celebrate the club’s 125th anniversary against Genoa. Created by the fans through a voting process, it’s expected to be a beautiful one.
It was last year that Milan announced the voting process for the 125th-anniversary shirt, and the fans responded in great numbers. The design is yet to be revealed by the club, but leaked images (as per esvaphane on X) suggest that it will feature the ‘Milan Football and Cricket Club emblem’.
As announced by the Rossoneri on their official website, the shirt will be worn by the first team in the game between Milan and Genoa on December 15th. It will also be worn during Milan Women’s derby against Inter on December 8.
“These initiatives will also be joined by the celebrations for the 125th Anniversary of the Club, which will culminate on December 15th, in the match between AC Milan and Genoa, a match in which the men’s First Team will wear a special celebratory jersey made with PUMA and designed with the support of the Rossoneri fans. The jersey will also be worn by the women’s First Team during the Derby on December 8th,” the statement read.
Let us know in the comments below what you think about the shirt! Seeing as the fans were heavily involved in the design, Milan are expecting a sales boom once the shirt is put on the market, most likely as a limited edition shirt.
