AC Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri has named his team for this afternoon’s game against Fiorentina at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.
Milan dropped points on Thursday night at San Siro against Genoa, continuing their trend of struggling against struggling sides. It was a game that took place less than 70 hours ago and that has taken its toll, so Allegri has decided to add some fresh legs.

Fiorentina vs. AC Milan: Official starting XIs
The coach has decided stick with his 3-5-2 formation. Koni De Winter comes in for the suspended Fikayo Tomori in the three-man defence, alongside Matteo Gabbia and Strahinja Pavlovic. Mike Maignan will be between the posts, wearing the captain’s armband too.
Alexis Saelemaekers and Pervis Estupinan are the wing-backs which means that Davide Bartesaghi gets a breather. Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Ardon Jashari and Samuele Ricci (Adrien Rabiot is out due to a knock) are the trio in midfield.
Niclas Füllkrug gets his first start since arriving at the club after two cameos off the bench and he partners Christian Pulisic. Rafael Leao and Christopher Nkunku are on the bench, meaning there are some options to call upon.
Official Milan XI (3-5-2): Maignan; De Winter, Gabbia, Pavlovic; Saelemaekers, Loftus-Cheek, Jashari, Ricci, Estupinan; Fullkrug, Pulisic.
Bench: Terracciano, Torriani, Odogu, Dutu, Athekame, Bartesaghi, Modric, Fofana, Rabiot, Leao, Nkunku.
Official Fiorentina XI (4-1-4-1): De Gea; Dodò, Comuzzo, Pongracic, Gosens; Fagioli; Solomon, Mandragora, Sohm, Gudmundsson; Kean.
Bench: Lezzerini, Christensen, Brescianini, Ranieri, Sohm, Nicolussi, Caviglia, Solomon, Fazzini, Kospo, Fortini, Eddy, Piccoli.

Wow that’s a lot of changes. Good to freshen things up and Thursdays performance was poor.
Still it’s never usually easy to expect a team with 6 changes and an entire new midfield to find cohesion
Fiorentina have been disastrous so I suppose that means we will park the bus and hope for some luck
It certainly is a lot but it will also make us more unpredictable but that leaves the potential of going either way. Fiorentina has been showing signs of improvement lately so it should be interesting to see how things pans out. Next week we will play against Como on Thursday and then again on Sunday against Lecce so the squad should be well managed and rotated.
Entirely new midfield against a resurgent and desperate Fiorentina. This is going the be an incredibly tough game and given how poorly we do against bottom of table teams I think a loss is likely. I just don’t know why Allegri didn’t rest Modric on Thursday.
Good oppertunity for Jashari, Ricci and Fullkrug to prove themselves.
Last time Jashari, Ricci, De Winter and Estupiñán started together was against Lazio in Coppa Italia and, to put it mildly, we didn’t look good. And now Rabiot isn’t even starting.
To best honest, this is too much of a rotation, reminds me of what Pioli used to do sometimes that didn’t work.
Hope this time around the team starts with meaner intentions.
Milan actually looked good in that game bs Lazio. They couldn’t score, but they had total control of the game and were attacking.
Both sides looked bad. We had more possession but outside of few chances, the game looked very dull.
In any case, I hope we improved since then.
I like it. Let’s see what these guys can do. Just wish Athekame would get a chance. I think Pulisic and Fullkrug will be good together if this midfield can do their part.
I dont see football as math, once their perfome bad then getting bad too or worse in next match with the same lineup, it doesnt work like that… And actually there is no better way to test jashari after long absence and of course the words that coming out from fulkurg mouth yesterday need to be proven … So let it be, if not now then when?
Too many changes all at once imo. Hope it works out. Injuries and stacked games threaten to derail our season… Not to mention the refs…
Has RLC just got out of bed?
No that’s him in shape.
Grande Fiorentina. They must be challenging for the title…
How in earth a player like Estupiñán is an AC MILAN PLAYER
i don’t know man. I’m speechless…
Remember Emerson the King Royal!
I have a feeling that without Pulisic, this line-up would fight to stay in Serie A !
That’s a bit harsh. We’re playing without our entire starting midfield and starting LB. Pulisic then missed two points blank chances. We should be up 1-0 at least. The fact that overall Fiorentina has been outplaying us is feature of the Allegri game. I still think this match is an uphill task for us, but we should actually be winning.
Please watch the game and think again!
Next summer Estupinan must go.
For misplacing two passes in one game ? Should Pulisic also leave for missing 2 point blank chances in one game ??? Yall are just weird. Smh
Loftus Cheek can’t recover the ball whiteout make a fault.
On the bright side, both of PUlisic’s chances came via Fullkrug holding up the ball and then making a good through ball pass. So he’s beginning to function as intended.
Will he score though? Gimenez was great at leading the line too. Ask him to score and it’s tumbleweeds…
As long as somebody scores. If you have Gimenez or Fullkrug putting Leao or Pulisic through for a goal then it works. Pulisic missed two clear chances.
While Pulisic has had some big misses, he has also been the one making things happen.
Milan are a hard watch at the moment
I would like to see Bartesaghi come on and also one of Leao/Nkunku for RLC – 343
Estupinan is not cutting it by any metric… He’s a liability on the flank. Jashari looks rusty and Ricci, bless his soul, isn’t decisive enough in the middle of the park.
Puli is getting the chances, but he’s in his own head too much it seems. Fullkrug is a good anchor. Now I’d like to see Estupinan come out for Leao and Milan go 433 again with Pavlo in the LW. RLC and Jashari either need to step up or come off.
I like Riici.
Jashari, I genuinely don’t understand why we would sell Tiji for 57 and buy him for 40.
He’s a dm, that’s crazy money for an unproven dm from Belgium. He may yet be good but can’t see him being worth that money.
It’s one thing to pay a premium for an attacker like CDK.
Tiji would at least give us a cutting edge. My how we miss his penetrating runs and goals
Then we did spend an entire summer chasing Fofana!
This team is a disgrace and that is down to Allegri and management.
Yep, was only a matter of time. Allegri ball always had this issue. Too heavily reliant on the counter and no real attacking plan. As in a system built to be protagonistic. It’s always a reactive based system
This is neither Allegri nor Tare. In case you haven’t learned anything from last season, Furlani and RedBird are still firmly in charge. Allegri and Tare are simply a screen to hide behind.
I guarantee you Allegri requested certain players and didn’t get a single one except for Rabiot, who literally fell in their lap. Tare chased Jashari for no reason. And Ricci was tied up long before Allegri came over.
Outside of that, Furlani is money laundering with Gimenez and Nkunku.
Estupiñán leaves the game with our “starting” LWB coming on for him and losing his man immediately. Lmao.
Just maybe, Estupinan is not your problem folks..
Wow losing to a team who won 2 games this season
Sigh 😔
We drew vs relegation battler genoa and now are going behind against another relegation battler smh, bye2 scudetto
EVERYONE beats Fiorentina. Accept Milan…
This is Milan this season. No urgency. Slow attack. Just stroll into Top4.
Second half we look deplorable…
Allegri the coward puts 3 upfront in the 73 minute when were losing against arguably the worst team in the league.
And of course with the target man off
#Allegriout
You say that, but this team is in better position than last season. Allegri’s football is what it is.
No more lucky win.
If Inter win with Napoli it’s all clear for scudetto race. If Como will beat us next game we are in big trouble for a CL spot.
That Fofana assist is why I love his game. He might not score as much as most fans here want him to but he does all the right things a midfielder is supposed to do. Even better. And he’s an absolute professional too. Also, that Nkunku goal is why I said most fans in this page give up on players too quick. Smh
Keep smoking that stuff, it must be mega
Saelemaekers continues to show he’s such a terrible player. Jeez..
Milan has been playing horribly and are lucky to salvage a point here. Outplayed by one of the worst team in the league. Absolutely shameful display by players and the coach as well. Allegri knew nothing was working, should have made the changes in halftime. Nkunku starting to show some good futbol. RLC and Estupinian should he sold immediately. Jashari is clearly not fit to be starting the game.
Pulisic !!! Today, he was a failure. He should have buried those chances at least one. All hustle with no results is not football. We don’t get points for playing rondo!
Nkunku’s movement to create that goal? Masterclass!!
Jashari?? Deserves the bench for now. Modric must be extremely tired for Allegri no to even risk playing him. It shows how dependent we are on his intelligence and creativity. Seems Milan midfield were hiding behind the opponents. Very drab game indeed. Fiorentina deserved to win, they wanted the game more. As the commentator said Milan were lethargic until they conceded that goal, then they began to hurry their passes and run. This is the second game in which Milan were saved by the ineptitude of their opponents.
Napoli and Inter drew 2-2 which takes a bit of the sting from our draw.
