AC Milan winger Gabriele Alesi has officially joined Serie B side Sampdoria on a season-long loan. The transfer was announced earlier today and it’s the result of a successful season with the Primavera.
Alesi was one of the key players for Milan’s Primavera side this past season, finding the back of the net seven times and assisting an additional four goals. Four of those goals also came in the UEFA Youth League.
As confirmed by Milan’s youth account on Twitter, the 19-year-old has been sent out on loan to Serie B side Sampdoria. Andrea Pirlo is the manager of the team and Alesi will also be teammates with former Milan man Fabio Borini.
Hopefully, the winger will get a decent amount of playing time as he certainly needs it to continue his development. Alesi signed a contract renewal with Milan back in April and it will expire in 2026.
