Official: Milan handed €3K fine for angry reactions to officiating in Spezia defeat

By Isak Möller -

The game between AC Milan and Spezia, which took place last night at San Siro, certainly had a remarkable ending as the visitors scored in the 96th minute. What happened just before, however, stole the headlines.

Junior Messias had seemingly given Milan the lead in the 92nd minute, making the most of a loose ball. However, just before, the referee blew his whistle and awarded the Rossoneri a free-kick for a foul on Ante Rebic.

The decision obviously angered Milan and the players on the pitch, but also the fans. This was revealed in the report of the Sporting Judge, who handed the Rossoneri a €3K because a bottle was thrown onto the pitch.

“Fine of €3,000.00: to Soc. AC MILAN because its supporters, at the 48th minute of the second half, launched a plastic bottle onto the playing field,” the statement read (via Calciomercato.com).

You could argue that it’s a tough decision given the reason behind the anger, but the Sporting Judge has strict regulations to follow. Hopefully, we won’t see any more huge errors during Milan’s games this season.

    1. I dont know what drugs you take but its more than football

Chill the f out there will be next game. We should have won over spezia easily.

  1. Please consider the many implications of such bad refereeing. Spezia with three extra points can remain in seria A to the detriment of another team. Milan might have lost the chance to challenge Inter for the scudetto and third Milan can also loose a place in the first four placings due to this desicion, losing a lot of income. VAR has to correct all errors ,otherwise scrap it.

  2. 3000 euros, peanuts compared to the amount the ref pocketed for that game from Spezia. That possibly keeps Spezia from relegation and allows them to reap the financial benefits of staying in Serie A. Gyasi should have gotten a second yellow more than once. Bastard probably cost us the Scudetto.

  3. Hungry
    What you mean hungry
You guys are such crooked ,only in itali no place else happens those things Only Italy
They should shot that ref on field
