Massimiliano Allegri has named his starting XI for tonight’s game between AC Milan and Napoli, making one change compared to the win against Torino.
It’s a big one for Milan and Napoli tonight as just one point separates them in the standings. Whoever wins, as such, will be in second place at the end of the night. While top four is the most important thing, the final position also makes a financial difference.

Due to a restriction on fans who are from Lombardy, there will only be about a thousand Rossoneri supporters in the stadium for the game. It’s a whole lot better than nothing, though, and the players will be able to greet them beforehand.
Napoli vs. AC Milan: Official starting XIs
Speaking of the players, Allegri has decided to make one change to the starting eleven. The defence and midfield departments are exactly the same as against Torino, but the attack is very different: Niclas Füllkrug and Christopher Nkunku are both starting.
It’s their first time starting together and it will be very interesting to see what they can do. Rafael Leao, who has just returned from injury, as well as Christian Pulisic will be ready off the bench if needed. The American only returned from international duty on Friday, so that’s likely why he isn’t starting.
As for Napoli, they have some heavy absences as the likes of Giovanni Di Lorenzo, Amir Rrahmani, David Neres, and Rasmus Hojlund have been ruled out. The striker was expected to start but as revealed this afternoon, a stomach bug forced him to withdraw.
Official Milan XI (3-5-2): Maignan; Tomori, De Winter, Pavlovic; Saelemaekers, Fofana, Modric, Rabiot, Bartesaghi; Füllkrug, Nkunku.
Bench: Terracciano, Torriani; Athekame, Estupinan, Odogu; Jashari, Loftus-Cheek, Pulisic, Ricci; Gimenez, Leao.
Official Napoli XI (3-4-2-1): Milinkovic-Savic; Juan Jesus, Buongiorno, Olivera; Guiterrez, Anguissa, Lobotka, Spinazzola; De Bruyne, McTominay; Giovane.
Bench: Contini, Meret; Beukema, Mazzocchi; Gilmour, Elmas; Alisson, Politano.

I’d like to now the reason why not Gimenez instead of Füllkrug. I have a hard time trying to understand this decision.
Maybe because he hasn’t played in 4-5 months and doesn’t have 40-50 minutes in his legs to play in a high stakes game
Because Corto Muso. Allegri chiefly cares about going into halftime 0-0. He will bring on the more capable attackers in the closing stages to try and nick a win if we manage to keep Napoli from scoring.
Granted it’s been two weeks since the Torino game, 15 minutes of gaming time isn’t exactly enough to recover from 4 months absence.
Then he should let him play ffs.
You think he sits around in a sun chair during training sessions?
Allegri is a good coach with experience But the only Problem he has is SELECTION. Everybody is talking about it all over the world on social media.
What a joke. Park the bus the entire match and hope one of our defenders can score a header off of a corner. Pulisic singlehandedly beat Napoli in the first match. Now he doesn’t even start.
Agreed.
Allegriball/Italiaball. 3-5-2 catennacio per sempre! We’ll finish top 4 the next three seasons and Italy won’t qualify for WC 2030.
Nkunkrüg! 1-0 Napoli at the half and then Leao and Gimenez on to try to save the result.
Fulkhrug is next to useless tonight – looks like Italian football is not for him – rather have Pav upfront..
As he has been in every game since his goal. Unfortunately.
Such lack of ambition from Milan, sad.
We actually have the players to play good possession football but we have no intertest
Scudetto is over bro. Both teams are playing for top 4. We’re 7 points from 5th, and Napoli is 6 points away. Both will be happy with a draw. Just sit back, relax, and enjoy the final seven games of the season.
I get that, it’s just so so dull.
I wish we could use these games to build something, try to play footballl.
Where are we going with this manager?
Lol, I hear you. I also want more. I think we’re going to have to wait until Allegri’s contract is up to see if we’ll get it or not. My feeling is that this ownership will keep Allegri indefinitely if he can deliver top 4 consistently. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Yeah I believe the same. I just cant stay awake for this rubbish
Of course they score, we offer nothing
Our main striker touching the ball once in 85 minutes, talk about not trying
Well I was wrong about when Napoli would take the 1-0 lead, and now we only have like 10 minutes to get the 1-1. Oh well.
Alegri should leave asap
ALLEGRI IS A STONE HEAD. RESET THE MILAN PLAYERS. REPLACE CARDINALE AND REPLACE ALL THE MANAGEMENT. ALLEGRI, IT’S BETTER TO JUST ACCEPT BEING THE COACH OF THE ITALIAN NATIONAL TEAM. THIS YEAR, MILAN FAILED TO ENTER THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE ZONE AND WIN THE ITALIAN LEAGUE. IT’S USELESS TO HAVE COACHES OF ALLEGRI’S OR CONTE’S CLASS, IF THE OWNERS ARE STILL CARDINALE, FURLANI, AND THEY. SELL MILAN TO A SAUDI ARABIAN BUSINESSMAN AND RESET ITS STAR PLAYERS LIKE LEAO, PULISIC, AND ALL THEM
