Official: New dates announced for Coppa Italia after scheduling hassle

By Isak Möller -

Serie A have announced the new dates for Coppa Italia after their scheduling hassle with the Supercoppa Italiana, which will be played in Saudi Arabia. The games, as a result, will be played earlier than expected.

The Supercoppa Italiana is no longer just two teams but rather four, with two semi-finals and one final to decide the tournament. Due to a scheduling issue, which forces the tournament to be played later than expected, Coppa Italia has also been affected.

As announced on Lega Serie A’s official website, the Round of 16 will now have three slots: December 6, December 20 and January 3. These games were initially meant to be played on January 10 and January 17.

The quarter-finals, meanwhile, will be played on January 10 instead of January 31. We will keep you posted on Milan’s dates as soon as they are announced. The Rossoneri will face Cagliari or Udinese in the Round of 16.

  1. The first Round of 16 match is just before our Atalanta game. Whoever did this new design for Supercoppa needs to be fired. Completely unnecessary and just a tiring thing or the players

  2. I already see this: SuperCoppa with 4 teams is such a success lets increase it to 8. Why not 16 with plans for 32 in three years. Why wont we have Coppa and SuperCoppa.
    Funnn!
