Official: Pioli names 22-man squad for Roma encounter

On the eve of the clash between AC Milan and Roma at the Olimpico, Stefano Pioli has announced his 22-man squad. The list was revealed after today’s early training session at Milanello. 

Calabria and Castillejo are both back in the squad after serving their respective suspension last time out. Bonaventura and Rodriguez, on the other hand, are both out of the squad as they are struggling with minor injuries.

Goalkeepers: Donnarumma A., Donnarumma G., Reina.

Defenders: Calabria, Conti, Duarte, Gabbia, Hernández, Musacchio, Romagnoli.

Midfielders: Bennacer, Biglia, Çalhanoğlu, Kessie, Krunić, Paquetá.

Forwards: Borini, Castillejo, Leão, Piątek, Rebić, Suso.

Bar Rodriguez, there are no major surprises and the list is what you would expect it to be. Following the 2-2 draw against Lecce, the Rossoneri are in desperate need of three points, as their goal remains to reach the Champions League for next season.

In addition to Roma, Pioli’s men will face Lazio, Juventus and Napoli in the next five rounds. A very difficult run of games for Milan, the outcome of which is expected to be decisive for the remainder of the season.
