There are growing reports that Noah Okafor is heading towards leaving AC Milan as talks with RB Leipzig have apparently intensified.

Calciomercato.com report that Okafor’s future ‘yet to be written’ because the Swiss winger could leave Milan in the next few days. Leipzig have intensified contacts with the Rossoneri directors, because they are ready to bring the former Salzburg man back into the Red Bull galaxy.

On Wednesday 8 April (today) part of Okafor’s entourage will be in Milan. Most likely, among the many meetings scheduled, they will also meet with the Milan management to discuss the possible move to the Bundesliga.

The player, who arrived from Salzburg two summers ago for €15.5m, is not considered unsellable by the Rossoneri directors at present, even if the deal must be right. Leipzig want a loan with an option to buy, the source adds.

The discussions expected in the next few hours will discuss the clauses for it to become a permanent purchase and the figures of the operation. The relations between the clubs are good and there are positive feelings that a deal can be agreed.

In the meantime, it seems that Milan are working in parallel on a potential replacement. Marcus Rashford’s agent met with the club yesterday, while there is also talk of options like Sporting CP’s Francisco Trincao.

  1. Okofor + cash for Sesko would of been nice but we cant afford him. Shame Maldini couldn’t get him while he was playing for Redbull before he joined the parent club. He would of been a top signing.

    1. You haven’t seen Sesko play. His finishing is Abraham level. He is terrible in front of goal. He’s scored 6 goals in 15 games this season. A €50-60 million striker should be in double figures.

      1. @Uberhulk – Why dont you look at his record past 4 seasons? How many did he scored last season? How old is he again and how much margin for improvement does he have? He isn’t a finished product yet. Abraham at 28 is near his peak. Need to be fair.

In hindsight CDK now its what we need. He flopped first year but now showing why Maldini went all in in him for Gasperini at Atalanta. A good coach can make or break a player. With conceicao Sesko could become elite CF.

    1. Don’t be dense. How is Okafor better than Rashford? Rashford has hit double figures in the EPL four times. Okafor hasn’t hit double figures once, despite playing in the Swiss and Austrian leagues.

    2. Diagree on Okafor vs Rashford. Rashford has hit double digit multiple times in the EPL. Okafor hasnt done it once. I think the problem is 2.
      1. Rashford is lazy (or i guess very unmotivated at the moment)
      2. Elephant in the room… wages.
I we can motivate the guy in the same way we got Puli, then it’s a coup. But at the same time, in a dressing room with Leao and Theo, i’m not sure if another player with that type of personality is a good idea.

  2. Sad truth is EPL “rejects” do considerably better in Italy. Fact.

As much as I don’t like Rashford, I think in our league with Conceicao he would be more productive. I’m just not sure I see how he fits …

  3. Like release CDK, release Okafor will becoming blunder for Milan, if Milan have vision for young player Milan must have put buy back at release clausul at every potential young player that Milan released
