MN: Origi, Messias and Krunic sustain muscle issues and need further scans – the latest

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan seem to have come back from Dubai in a worse state than the one they left in as three players have picked up muscle issues, a report claims.

In addition to Mike Maignan’s calf not healing properly and thus his recovery process being delayed, MilanNews reports that Divock Origi has sustained a low-grade problem with the hamstring of his right leg. A new check is scheduled for the Belgian in one week.

Not only that, but the same source are also reporting that Junior Messias and Rade Krunic are suffering from muscle fatigue. New checks for the Brazilian winger and the Bosnian midfielder will take place after Christmas.

That means that only Alexis Saelemaekers can really be classed as a ‘recovered’ player out of the list of those who went on the Dubai training camp hoping to get minutes in their legs to be at 100% for the new year.

    1. Literally, there’s ppl on here who chastised me for saying Milan needs an entirely new medical staff and conditioning/fitness approach. Always muscle injuries, always in bunches and of course every god damn year!

  1. Origi doesn’t need scans, Origi needs to donate more than half of the money he’s getting for doing absolutely nothing except for being injured and missing clear chances here and there since he arrived.

  2. Origi showed up injured at the medical test before signing, a test he somehow passed (it seems that unless a player has heart issues, the medical test is basically useless), he’s been injured long before, during and long after signing; as a mercato move, the guy was a walking red flag, strange move by the management, specially with that salary. Well, if his continuous absence and poor performances force Pioli to utilize De Ketelaere in the attack and that does end up benefitting him, then I guess Origi won’t be completely useless after all.
