Paqueta plays down PSG rumours: “I’m happy at Milan, I’ve just arrived”

AC Milan playmaker Lucas Paqueta has shut down speculation suggesting Paris Saint-Germain are interested in him.

Leonardo left his role as the Rossoneri’s sporting director last month and subsequently returned to Paris where he worked before in the same role.

Links with Milan players have since followed, most notably the idea of a swoop for goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, but reports emerged suggesting he is keen on reuniting with his countryman Paqueta.

Leonardo was admittedly instrumental in bringing to San Siro from Flamengo in January for €35m, ironically convincing him to snub PSG in favour of San Siro, but Paqueta is paying no attention to the rumours.

“It’s [the links with PSG] only speculation, he told Goal.

“I’m happy at Milan, I’ve just arrived and I’m adapting. I want to have a good season so I can grow in my career.”
