AC Milan midfielder Lucas Paqueta has dismissed rumours that he could return to Brazil this summer and join the rivals of his former side.
ANSA (via MilanNews) reported earlier on Monday that sources close to the management of Sao Paulo have confirmed contacts with Milan over midfielder Igor Liziero.
They claimed that Milan could sign Liziero on loan, or insert Lucas Paquetà in the negotiation, even if the former Flamengo star would prefer to stay in Europe.
In a post on his Instagram story, Paqueta responded: “Every day they say I’m going to a different club. I have a lot of respect for Sao Paulo, but this news is not true!
“Everyone knows that my heart is red and black [Flamengo]. I don’t see myself in Brazil again, except to go home.”
Milan should look to bolster their squad with more South-American youth, and igor Lziero could be a great upgrade!
