Pellegatti: Calhanoglu’s time at Milan over as he fails to respond – management working on replacements

By Oliver Fisher -

Hakan Calhanoglu’s time at AC Milan looks all set to come to an end as the playmaker has not responded to Milan’s latest and best offer, it is claimed.

Journalist Carlo Pellegatti (via MilanNews) has given an update on the Calhanoglu situation and has confirmed that the No.10’s time with the Rossoneri is ‘now at the end’. Calhanoglu has not been heard from and he has not yet given his response to the most recent offer Milan table, while he is at a training retreat with the Turkey national team.

He adds that there are confirmations that the offer from Qatar is true, perhaps not at the €8m signing bonuses plus €24m net over three years reported, but the offer from Qatar is there. Milan will go their own way and they are now looking for potential substitutes. Regarding interest in Rodrigo De Paul, Pellegatti said he is ‘very cautious’ about the Udinese star.

  1. Why not put JPH as a replacement to HC. Nothing to lose if we set him from the start of the season. And BD as good substitute.

    1. Hauge is more of a pacey winger. He doesn’t offer that intelligence and work rate to dictate the game and lead the attack in the Trequartista role.

    2. Can everybody sthut the f up about Hauge already? Where is this mass obsession commming from? He is mediocre at best.

Besides you cant just try out players in a competition, they need to be registered to play, and he probably wont make it. Same way he didnt make it to the spring round of europa league. He will be loaned out.

  2. We are not signing De Paul IMO…he has 3 years left on his deal and they want 40M plus for him. No way we spend that kind of $$$ unfortunately. We are already talking about signing players like Giroud and Pezzella, Papu Gomez – instead of names like Valhovic, Edouard, Ikone, Milenkovic, Kabak, Lovato, Etc…Seems to me we are looking for barging veteran players. I’m sure we still add a few youngsters (hopefully Adil) but I doubt we will have the budget we should have to spend….disappointing if true. Seems like we are being set up for a disappointing summer IMO. I hope I am dead wrong! Pleas eEliott we finally made it back to CL we must spend at least 100M on new players and need at least 2 big time starters (RW, ACM) if not 3 (striker) and that doesn’t count the $ we already spent on Maganin, Tomori and Tonali (56M)…open up those pocket books the team did their job and qualified now you must reward us with some big signings
