Pellegatti: Mandzukic opportunity causes management to change stance – details on his salary

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have changed their stance regarding a pursuit of a striker and are now evaluating an opportunity that has arisen.

As we reported earlier today, Milan are looking for a striker who can rotate with Zlatan Ibrahimovic and complete the Rossoneri attack, despite the frequent denials from the directors in interviews.

During discussions with the well-known agent Giovanni Branchini, the idea of signing Mario Mandzukic was born. A six-month contract is possible, and although they have a handful of candidates and at the moment the number one among them is Mandzukic, we told you.

Carlo Pellegatti was a guest on Sky Italia (via MilanLive) and spoke about the Rossoneri’s possible swoop for Mandzukic. He confirmed that the track is indeed a concrete one and Milan are making their judgements.

The 34-year-old could arrive on a six-month deal and should earn €1.8million, should Milan decide to push ahead with a deal. A striker seemed to be the last thing that the management would tackle in the January window, but this interesting opportunity means it could be at the forefront.
