Dele Alli was sent off just ten minutes after coming on for Como against AC Milan last night. He brought down his compatriot Ruben Loftus-Cheek and afterwards, they had a laugh about it.

The English midfielder made his first appearance in two years last night, coming on for the final ten minutes of the game. However, instead of getting a goal or an assist, he made life very difficult for Como as he received a red card.

The referee initially showed a yellow but after a VAR check, it was changed to a red. The challenge on Loftus-Cheek was indeed nasty and deserved to be punished, even if Milan right-back Kyle Walker tried to get the referee not to show the red.

On his official Instagram, Alli shared a screenshot of his WhatsApp conversation with Loftus-Cheek after the game and the Milan man reposted it. The former Spurs man admitted the foul was intentional but that he only ‘tried to clip your heel’.

  1. I’m genuinely sick of the big name England players having genuinely no fight. This is why yall haven’t won anything, loser mentality. More concerned with social media clout than anything else, and it shows on the field. Walker was awful today, loftus cheek is a midefield liability, tomori has 1 good game every 3 months and blames his teammates for his mistakes. Ironically only 1 who’s shown something worth is Abraham, a guy who doesn’t even make the preliminary England squad
