AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has sent a message to supporters after it was confirmed that he has tested positive for Coronavirus.
Via a statement on the official website the club have announced that after undergoing tests last night Gianluigi Donnarumma, Jens Petter Hauge and three coaching staff members have tested positive for COVID-19.
Donnarumma posted a message on his Instagram account a few hours after the news, which reads as follows…
“Hi everyone, unfortunately I tested positive for COVID-19. First of all I want to tell you that I am fine.
“I also take this opportunity to dedicate my thoughts to all those who are fighting the virus: be strong! Do not give up!
“I remind others to keep their distance, wear masks, wash their hands! Everything helps to try to stop this virus. Meanwhile, tonight I’ll be in front of the TV cheering on my team-mates. Forza Milan!”
