Andriy Shevchenko was at Casa Milan this afternoon to meet with AC Milan fans and thank them for their support during the crisis that his home country Ukraine are going through.
When Russia invaded Ukraine earlier this year, Milan decided to try to help alleviate the humanitarian crisis in Shevchenko’s homeland. A fundraising effort for the Ukrainian Red Cross was set up, and a replica jersey commemorating the Manchester 2003 Champions League win with the phrase “AC Milan for Peace” was released.
Shevchenko came to Casa Milan this afternoon in order to meet with some of the fans who have shown their support during the conflict.
