Pioli puts faith in brand new attack as Milan gear up for Genoa clash

By Isak Möller -

Stefano Pioli has decided to make quite a few changes to the starting XI for tonight’s clash between AC Milan and Genoa. The Rossoneri fans will see a brand new attack, including Luka Jovic.

Jovic is set to make his first start for Milan after making a couple of appearances off the bench. Noah Okafor was first tipped to start as the No.9 but Pioli eventually decided that Rafael Leao needed some rest.

It’s the final game ahead of the break and the final of seven games in 22 days, meaning rotation was to be expected. Jovic will team up with Okafor, who will start on the left instead, and Samuel Chukwueze.

The Nigerian came off the bench against Dortmund earlier in the week and missed a big chance towards the end. He will thus be eager to prove his qualities and Pioli will be hoping for a good response from this brand new attack.
