Pioli highlights positive impact of subs lately: “All the players will be very important”

By Isak Möller -

Milan will take on Cagliari tomorrow and with a win, they will be back in the Champions League. That says a lot about the importance of the game and the Rossoneri are in great form after two big wins in Turin.

Several players have stepped up lately and Stefano Pioli has also been able to rely on the players on the bench, often solid when getting the chance. Having good depth is always important and we saw this in the last two games.

During his press conference earlier today, as is standard on the eve of a game, Pioli spoke about the impact that the subs have had recently. He also praised the team for being a very united group, turning things around after two consecutive defeats.

How important is the group, as demonstrated by the changes in the match against Torino?

“Now everyone is raising the level because we know that these games will decide our future. The inputs of Leao, Krunic and Meite were fundamental in closing the game. Tomorrow the best formation will start at this moment but all the players will be very important in the game. I have a very reliable group,” he said (via MilanNews).

The game is scheduled for 20:45 CEST tomorrow and it will be interesting to see if Milan can continue their good run of form. It would be quite the ending to the season, showing off their strength.
