Pioli explains decision to pick Krunic and leave Bennacer out ahead of Verona game

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli believes his side have done the best possible preparation for their game against Hellas Verona, and discussed his selection choices.

Speaking to DAZN (via MilanNews), Pioli said the following: “I have the usual sensations before a match. We tried to prepare ourselves as best we could for a difficult match.

“Krunic? I didn’t pick him just to give physicality in the attack, but also to take advantage of his insertions. It will also help us to fill the area better. Bennacer? Everyone who has been called up is fine. They all have great motivations.”

  1. A good choice I must admit.

I know you might say because we secured three points.
But, you will agree with me that Krunic never put any wrong foot in the game.

Salesmaker surprised me. He was really impressive.
Theo was poor so was Calabria.
Leao is really underrated, and less spoken off.

    Good game all round

  2. It might be a good decision in Bentegodi, but against Atalanta, Crunic, in my opinion, shouldn’t be there as a starter. I prefer Kessie, and let Bennacer along side with Tonali
