Pioli leaves the hotel: “AC Milan? Tomorrow we will talk”

By Isak Möller -

Stefano Pioli is ready to sign a contract with AC Milan on a two-year basis, following the Rossoneri’s decision to officially sack Marco Giampaolo. Currently, he is staying at a hotel in the centre of Milan.

The former Lazio man recently left the hotel, for unknown reasons, and Sky Italia (via MilanNews.it) had a reporter at the scene to ask him about the rumoured takeover. However, Pioli refused to reveal any major details: “Tomorrow we will talk,” he said.

As our correspondent Vito Angele reports, everything is in place for the new manager’s arrival. The length of the contract will be two years and the official announcement will arrive tomorrow, ahead of the first training session at 15:30.

The decision hasn’t gone down well with the Rossoneri faithful, who wanted Luciano Spalletti as the new manager. It’s safe to say that Pioli will have to work hard to earn the respect of the fans.
