Pioli on Milan’s attack: “Maybe we will have three shots and three goals tomorrow”

By Isak Möller -

Stefano Pioli has some thinking to do ahead of AC Milan’s game against Torino tomorrow evening. The Rossoneri gave struggled in the attacking phase and some tweaks are expected to the starting XI.

In the last five games, including the Coppa Italia clash against Inter, Milan have found the back of the net just three times. They have been saved by some fantastic defensive performances, allowing them to win 1-0, but improvement is evidently needed up front.

Pioli was questioned about the matter during his press conference earlier today. One must understand, however, that there’s only so much a manager can do. Against Bologna, Milan had a whopping 33 shots, although only seven were on target.

“If we think too much about the previous match, we don’t prepare well for the next one. The matches are unique: maybe tomorrow we won’t have 30 shots on goal but three shots and three goals. The important thing is to have quality in order to put Torino in difficulty too.”

Regardless of how many shots they will have tomorrow, Milan fans will be hoping to see some more composure from the attackers. Only then can the Rossoneri find the back of the net again, with the Scudetto rivals quickly closing in.

  1. Come on man, stop talking about imaginary ’30 shots’ from last match,we barely had 3 concrete shots, the rest was off the target without planned gameplay, everyone can shot random shots that will go 5 metres away from goal
