Pioli hopes for Brahim Diaz to ‘break the game open’ in ‘very important’ Lazio clash

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli has admitted that the margin for error is getting slimmer and slimmer with each passing week in his side’s Scudetto pursuit.

Before the match against Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico tonight, Pioli spoke to DAZN (via MilanNews): “It is a very important match, now there are fewer and fewer games left until the end of the season and therefore it is important to get points for our ranking.

On the choice of Diaz from the beginning: “I hope that Diaz will break the game open by playing from the beginning. He has the characteristics to be a point of reference on the frontline, we will try to make the most of him.”

On Ibrahimovic: “He’s doing everything to be available. He did well in the last few training sessions, we’ll see then how the game goes. He’s very motivated.”

  1. A psychological tactic to boost Diaz’s confidence…. Sorry Pioli, you can make him grow the stamina he clearly lacks overnight… I pray for some miracles
