AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli is waiting on the return of Ante Rebic and Rade Krunic but they are expected to be out a few more days yet, a report claims.
La Gazzetta dello Sport (via PianetaMilan) reports that both the Croatian striker and the Bosnian midfielder trained separately yesterday and will need a few more days of individual work and then some time training with the rest of the squad before they are in contention.

Rebic and Krunic are important for Pioli’s plans because the former can play the role of left winger and centre-forward to give the chance for forwards to rest, while the latter can replace either Sandro Tonali and Ismaël Bennacer in the double pivot.
The former Eintracht Frankfurt man also started the season well with a brace in the opening day win over Udinese, but has once again had any momentum halted by irritating injury issues.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Alessandro Florenzi are both are expected to return to the field in 2023, the paper adds.
I like Rebic, the player & love Rebic, the character, but I wanted him sold the summer and wouldn’t mind him being sold in January .
The first 2 seasons, he was missing in action until January. And the last 2 seasons he’s been injured most of the time
He is 29 , among the highest paid players on the team and he is barely available to play let alone produce.
Get what you can get for him and invest in young back up for the LW.

It’s a shame that Milan didn’t get Khvicha… You’re right about Rebic. If a player can’t stay fit, there’s no need being sentimental – he’s not available to do the job.
Another one I think Milan should have sent back is Brahim Diaz.
