SM: Pioli waiting for updates on condition of six key players – the latest

By Oliver Fisher -

When training resumes at Milanello tomorrow ahead of Friday’s game against Genoa, AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli will know more about the condition of certain players.

As our colleagues at SempreMilan.it recall, Fikayo Tomori limped off in the closing stages of last night’s draw against Torino and was replaced by Matteo Gabbia. There was a lot of concern about the English defender but according to what Pioli said, he just suffered cramp and was replaced as a precaution.

Alessio Romagnoli has not yet recovered while Ismael Bennacer, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Ante Rebic and Samu Castillejo all missed the game in Turin due to some form of muscle fatigue. The Rossoneri captain sustained an adductor problem before Milan-Bologna and was unable to recover for last night’s match.

It does not seem anything complicated but in the next few days his conditions will be carefully evaluated to understand if he can return to the field to let one of Pierre Kalulu or Fikayo Tomori breathe.
