AC Milan's French defender #19 Theo Hernandez

‘Planning his departure from Milan’ – Journalist makes bold Theo Hernandez claim

A journalist has claimed that Theo Hernandez is wanting to leave AC Milan in the summer and will not consider extending his contract.

According to Christopher Michel of Sport1 and FussballNews, Theo Hernandez ‘is planning his departure from Milan in the summer’. He ‘does not want to extend his contract’, which expires in 2026.

There have already been talks with FC Bayern Munich in the past, he adds, and what will be important regarding a future move is whether Alphonso Davies stays. As a reminder, the Canadian is on an expiring deal, and has been linked with Real Madrid.

The article published adds: “Will the change of coach from Paulo Foncesca lead to a rethink? That is questionable.” The 36-time French international has a market value of around €50m, and Milan are aware of the damage that losing him on a free would do.

It must be noted that Theo’s agent Manuel Garcia Quilon spoke while exiting Casa Milan following a meeting with the directors on 16 December, and afterwards he confirmed that his client intends to stay at Milan and renew his contract.

There has been talk of him signing a new contract worth €5m net per year or more, though if Michel is to be believed any attempts to get a renewal will be futile.

  1. They have no reason to sell him. His contract expires in 2026, which is plenty of time for him to regain his form and be himself again.

  2. I am pretty sure that if mice and rats were to be found in the san siro showers and locker rooms, Cardinale would order furlani, ibra and moncada to catch them and sell each one of them for $50 ….. that is how US capitalists operate ……

      1. And also if Milan were owned by Europeans, the mice and rats would not be touched because the decrepit showers and lock rooms that attract mice and rats would be declared national monuments, along with their inhabitants.

    1. But so far, Cardinale has not sold any players besides Tonali who also was intrigued by what New Castle offered him. Last year you said Cardinale would sell Leao, Theo, Maignan and Co. Now, instead of admitting you were wrong, you keep pushing your false statements to try to distract real Milan fans who support their team no matter who is in charge.

      1. Neither the renewals are made not the issues were resolved by this management. They have not shown any concrete signings nor address the weak links in team.
Cardinale himself told he will work only for books balance not for European trophies.

What a shame that your comment doesn’t replicate his ideas of current Milan. You should wake-up bro.

  3. Oh, if Christopher Michel of sport1 says so … he must have a mental link with Theo that allows him to read his internal desires.

  4. He will not be missed. No one is more responsible for the poor start to this season than Theo. Undermining the coach from day 1. Good luck finding a top coach that will put up with his lazy play and undisciplined attitude.

        1. Read the first comment before you just respond emotionally.
Theo behavior sabotaged the season before even Emerson started to play for Milan regularly.
In the 1st 2 games in this season, especially vs Parma, Emerson didn’t even start and Theo was solely responsible in both goals by being lazy and not being able to defend a parked car. But, as always, it’s everyone else’s fault for the poor results, while Theo was the worst players in most of the games this season.

  5. This all comes down to Theo. He knows well enough he won’t get the 8mil a year he wants with the abysmal level of performance he’s been giving. Either he steps up his performances to earn his pay, accepts a lower wage than that, or gets sold. In his current state, he’s nowhere near worth the amount requested, barely worth 4 with these type of lazy performances.

  6. Sell Theo at January transfer, n used money selling theo recruit some player, optimized Jimenez n Bartesaghi. For this transfer windows Chiesa, Ricci they all good target for italian player n can back up middle posiftion n right foward position. Also Olmo that can be on free transfer from barca.

  7. Everyone know that Theo had not has the closest relationship with Fonseca. I’m sure if he wanted to leave, the sacking of Fonseca wouldn’t be one of the reasons. In contrary, it might be the reason he would consider to reconsider to stay if he did want to leave before.
Either Theo, Conceicao, or management would see this with a new opportunity to reevaluate their positions and open to ideas.
