Player Ratings: AC Milan 1-1 Cagliari – Calabria MOTM; Fofana shocking

It ended up being a frustrating evening for Sergio Conceicao as AC Milan squandered chance after chance against Cagliari. Several players could have done much better and below are the ratings for the Rossoneri.

If you haven’t already, make sure to check out how we decide the player ratings. From the scale to what affects the rating, we have compiled everything there.

Starting XI

Maignan (6): He made an absolutely stunning save at the end of the first half, denying Felici what looked like a certain goal. However, after the opener in the second half, he made a big mistake and it cost Milan the win in the end. It was such an easy save to make, but he still gets a pass here because the first save was so good (and saved Milan from conceding earlier).

Calabria (7 – MOTM): Seeing as most of the attackers plus the midfield struggled this evening, giving him the award is a no-brainer. It was a very good performance in both phases of the game and he certainly showed that he at least should compete for the starting spot. Hopefully, he can continue like this.

Tomori (6): He struggled a bit with his positioning at the start of the game, but managed to recover and had a few good interventions later on. When you consider the fact that Cagliari had just two shots on target, the defenders must have done something right.

Thiaw (6.5): Just like his colleague, he did everything he could on the goal and defended well otherwise. The German was also bold with his passing, which we saw after almost every game, and that is so crucial for Milan.

Hernandez (6): He did very well on the goal with the cross for Pulisic, and he had a couple of efforts blocked tonight. That being said, he was far from brilliant in attack and the feeling is that he could have done better.

Musah (6): The American had some good runs forward and showed that he’s comfortable on the ball, not afraid to stay close to the opponent even in possession. It wasn’t anything amazing but he also wasn’t poor, so a pass here seems appropriate.,

Fofana (4.5): This is the lowest score we have given him, and it feels very justified. In addition to struggling in the build-up, failing to pick out the key passes, he also had several shots from distance that weren’t successful. Of course, the worst part came just before Cagliari’s goal with the misplaced pass and the unwillingness to track back, giving up instead.

Pulisic (5.5): He did well on the goal, and was perhaps unlucky not to score himself, but he missed a tremendous chance to give Milan the lead again. It was one of those that he converts nine times out of times, and unfortunately tonight that ended up being fatal.

Reijnders (5.5): The poor run of form continues for him. It’s been a strange few last games as it seems he’s struggling to find his role under Conceicao. We can only hope that it will get better but tonight he didn’t have much of an impact.

Leao (5): He skied a few shots and didn’t have any success in the 1v1s. He keeps attempting crosses from stand-still as well and they never seem to work. He should be running at the defence with speed and then cross instead, but he rarely did tonight.

Morata (6.5): The Spaniard worked hard for the team in both phases, as always, and was at the right place at the right time on the goal. It secured Milan a point so that’s important, but he also had moments where he could have done better.

Substitutes

Jimenez (5.5): He added acceleration on the right-hand side, that’s for sure, and perhaps should have had an assist for Abraham. He was also brought down on the edge of the box at one point, but the referee somehow didn’t blow his whistle. A misplaced pass at the end, but he still added something to the game.

Abraham (4.5): Two big chances missed, need we say more? The second one really should have been put away, following a very good pass by Morata. Milan cannot afford those misses.

Omoregbe (N/A): We didn’t see enough to give him a rating.

  1. Never mind Fofana and Mike’s brain farts, but I just want to know, people who want to keep Abraham in the team, what the fuck is wrong with you?

The guy has been mostly on the bench but has one of the highest percentages of missed chances in the league LOL seriously, look it up. And he usually misses from two yards out, which I admit is an impressive skill.

    Awful striker.

  2. I’m sorry Isaac, you’ve lost all credibility in these ratings now.
Calabria MOTM and Pulisic a 5.5??
This laughable. Pulisic created more than anyone. He was incredibly unlucky not to have a goal. He hit the crossbar once and another one thru the keepers legs and off the post, not to mention a brilliant pass that put Calabria in on goal in the first half that he completely bundled.
Meanwhile if Emmerson had the exact same game Calabria did he would’ve gotten a 5.5.
Calabria made one good tackle. He also got beat several times by felici like he was standing still. Maignan bailed him out on one of them in the first half. And on the goal conceded , where was Calabria? Higher up the pitch than Pulisic and made no effort to get back. Didn’t even run… this site is a joke.

The big question is how can we blame this on Fonseca and Emmerson….
I’m sure some of the wacko on here will figure out a way.

        1. You need some kind of aid to understand words? Makes sense. I’m saying last I checked we don’t have a player named Emmerson in the team. Who is he?

Also, do you agree that Theo is the worst left-back in the league, possibly the world?

Thank you in advance, for answering.

          1. I won’t go too hard on you because I don’t think English is your first language, but you are still not making much sense.
But to your second question, yes if you look at Theo’s performance the entirety of this season he has been one of the worst if not the worst LB in Serie A . One good half against Inter doesn’t change that. His play has been bad ,his effort and attitude even worse.

          2. WHO … IS … EMMERSON?

That’s as simple as English gets for you.

And I see you still shamelessly insist on your nonsenses. There’s a saying you know : “The more often a stupidity is repeated, the more it gets the appearance of wisdom.”

Now I’m guessing you consider yourself wise…

          3. Is that your whole point that you wasted 3 incoherent comments trying to make? That I spelled Emerson with 2 M’s instead of 1? Brilliant. You really got me there. I guess my entire argument falls apart because of that. Brilliant stuff man. I guess you win…

      1. I don’t hate him, I just don’t think he’s good. And I said he made a nice tackle in the first half. But MOTM ? That’s a joke. And a 5.5 for Pulisic… The bias on this site is too much. There must be a better Milan site than this.

        1. You are the saddest little Emerson fanboy… we get it. You’re salty that precious royal has been a complete waste of money. Get over it

        2. This site always had a bias AGAINST Calabria, not for him, now that they rate him well you still complain. Outside of the goal action where he was absent he did pretty well. He was well involved in attacking combination and was generally well positioned in behind and managed to thwart some attacking actions.
You keep giving excuses to Emerson but the passing and involvement Calabria had tonight is something Emerson has never shown and will never show.
You just decided that the management did a good job bringing Emerson and nothing that will happen will make you change your opinion.

          1. All of his comments are just praising the management. So naturally he have to critisize Calabria just to make the move for Emerson look justified. He is not even Milan fan.

        3. Yes please leave.

Bad enough we have to read your nonsense now you abuse the good people who work hard to provide the platform. Ciao

    1. Oh my lord, will you just stop talking already… does royal lube you up every night? Is that it? You suck him off at every opportunity and hate on Calabria for a doing better in 90 minutes than he has all season. Enough of you already. Go cry in a corner, plastic

      1. Wow, these are some really intelligent comments and good points you are making. You think making ignorant juvenile remarks are helping your case? When I see the intellect and maturity level of those arguing against me , it makes me even more sure I am right.

        1. No kiddo, you’re own brain devoid makes you think your right. Nothing more, and the sad part is you know it. You spout this nonsense on every post on here. You’re literally known on here as the guy who hypes up Emerson. You say the same thing over and over again and yet act surprised every time when nobody agrees with you. Laughable. Now hush

          1. What exactly did he say that sounds like he’s hyping up Emerson ? All he pointed out is that most of yall on this site blamed everything on Emerson and Fonseca and now that your new precious coach played your favorite Calabria and Tomori and we got the same draw result. What’s yall excuse now ????? Lol

    2. Wow who’s the wacko?

      Calabria was outstanding tonight.
Which is a huge relief to Milan fans as watching Emerson has been nothing short of excruciating!

    3. I thought puli was very poor today, honestly don’t really think anyone played above a six. Puli over dribbled and struggled with off ball movement. Yes he worked hard but and created some but it was below expectations for me. Credit to him for getting shots on target something no one else can do.

      1. Thats the great thing about him, even if it’s not his best day he still effects the game and result, if only we could say the same about other forwards

        1. Truely we can be honest about Puli and admit he can do much better but it’s also true that his floor seems to be some players ceiling

    4. You can’t blame Calabash for that goal bro. Team was in possession with almost everyone stationed forward ,Fofanas pass got intercepted then the opponent went on a counter attack. Calabria won’t magically appear at the back. He was in attack.

In such case the players – not necessarily just defenders – closest to the ball or defensive positions would have more responsibility. Of course the defender should always make effort of getting back into position. But again it was a rapid counter. You sometimes don’t get there on time. It’s the risk of sending your tesm forward.

      1. And why exactly is he so far up the pitch when we are up 1-0 late in the second half, so any turnover leaves us completely exposed? Shouldn’t we be more concerned about protecting the lead? He’s not Theo. He doesn’t have much to offer offensively anyways and he doesn’t have the pace to recover.

        1. If Conceicao sees him so high the pitch and didn’t ask him to drop back or for the team to stay more compact being a goal ahead ,then what they were doing must probably be the instructions of the coast.

        2. Were u satisfied with 1 goal lead? It is the dumbest decision to go back and defend one goal against Cagliari in 60 minutes.
If we lack courage to kill games we can hardly win them

          1. You don’t have to have your entire team drop back and play defense, but how about not having your FB playing higher up the pitch than your forwards leaving you totally exposed to the counter, which was the only way Cagliari was ever going to score against us. Especially Calabria who has nothing to offer offensively and is too slow to get back if we turn it over. Seems common sense.

  3. The pace was there, the energy was there, they pressed hard and worked like a team. Completely different from what we seen with Fonzy. But also the shortcomings are there. We still lack quality.

The goal was on Fofana firstly but Mike should also intervene better.

    Calabria MOTM🍿

  4. Incredibly irritating game… These mediocre teams giving us a headache as usual with their low block, fast counters and goal keepers on fire… Abraham putting the ball everywhere but in the goal… Leao messing up cross after cross and smiling… Fofana of course… but overall so many wrong decisions again and again. And to top it all off we don’t even have Royal to blame. I would not want to be in that dressing room tonight…

    1. We broke them down for 24 shots, 11 on target.

First hats off to Ciprele(?). That dude was on fire and deserve MOTM.

Coach cannot go out there and steer the ball in the net for them.

Good tactics, good patterns of play, poor execution.

      1. “Coach cannot go out there and steer the ball in the net for them”
Funny, I recall saying the same thing about Fonseca. Only to be attacked for it of course.

        1. Not by me.

What we saw today underscores what Fonseca said on at least a couple of occasions .

          1. It’s harder to play in Serie A.

          2. Players gotta step up.

I think Sarge Serge is an upgrade, but what we saw tonight goes back to the Pioli era a couple years.

The so called best players Leao and Theo are the constant. Leao got the memo and really has stepped up his game in all phases.

Theo looked more lively today himself.

Let’s get a dozen data points and see if this is still the case.

Personally I think it is Sarge first time to coach (rather than play) against a well set up provincial Italian team and he got an education.

    2. All we need is a target man who can score. We’ve been trying to find one every season since the summer before Ibrahimovic’s last season and we keep failing. Giroud was great for a couple of seasons, but he was only ever a short term solution, as are Morata and Abraham. Enough with this. The Three Stooges need to spend the money that needs to be spent to get a proper target man. And no, Jonathan David isn’t the one. He won’t help us break down teams in a low block. Striker should be our no. 1 priority in the summer if we don’t find one in this window. For people talking about RB, yeah people hate Royal, and I’m no fan of his, but with the 5th best defense in the league this should not be the first priority. For those asking for a DM, yeah it would be nice to have a player like Frendrup, but again we employ two CMs and have Fofana, Tijji, Bennacer, Musah, RLC and Terraciano who can all play there, and again defense is not the issue this season. Striker (ASAP), RB (can wait until the summer), DM (can wait until the summer) is the order of priority.

  5. I don’t care much about the ratings. Overall it wasn’t a bad performance and the team created chances to score. Pulisic had a couple of chances but the better chances fell to Tammy, who apparently can’t score in front of goal unless it’s a tap in.

Other than that, the team played a lot more direct than under the predecessor. Not throughout the whole game and that could be improved. At runes build up wasn’t fast enough either.

Conceicao won’t fix this overnight. Hopefully management can back him in the winter market.

      1. He looks tired and – this – sloppy. Tiji form has already dropped.

Glad to see Musah getting better as we need him for depth behind Fofana.

I’d love to see us add Ricci. Gives depth in the league and UCL.

  6. in the 6th minute Tomori decided to leave Viola alone with Mike. I almost broke TV. luck that Viola tried an acrobatic finish and missed.

We saw today from Calabria what we wont see from Royal even if he gets reborn again.

      1. Because of his recovery pace. The CB’s push far up. Gabbia is positionally strong, but not fast. He can not catch up to the opposing forwards in transition or on the counter. Tomori can.

  7. Think you have to give Maignan a lower mark after the goal he let in. Agree that the first save was incredible and he was on track for MOM before the fumble. But you can’t let that through and still get a 6 as a goal keeper.

  8. Can we all finally agree that Mike isn’t a world class shot stopper?

Otherwise, not a terrible game, but it’s the same story where we don’t really have any ideas against a low block. And most importantly, we got to stay focused (Fofana and Mike on this instance), and stop giving away cheap cheap goals.

Oh, and Calabria was far from great, despite his intervention in the first hal.

    1. You LITERALLY saw one of the saves of the season in the first half, so no we can’t agree on that. No one said he never makes mistakes, but to say he isn’t world class is foolish.

      1. World class keepers rarely make amateur level mistakes. Check how many goals this season have his name on them, and you’ll see what I mean. And it was a nice save, not the f’ing save of the season for god sakes.

        1. Point out a goal this season directly attributable to a mistake by MM prior to tonight and not caused by midfield or wing possession turnovers and/or brainfarts on the right or left of the defence. We’ll wait a hell of a long time before you can. Like you said “World Class keepers rarely make amateur level mistakes.” Maignan fits this description perfectly.

    2. No, the shot for the goal had a bit of a bounce. Should he have saved it. Yes. But he made some other nice saves. The goal was on Fofana. You lose the ball and then wave the player pass you. Take a yellow and foul him. Someone needs to tell him to stop taking shots from 25-30 yards out. YOU CAN’T SHOOT!!!!

        1. No yellow for Fofana today.
But he has been one away from suspension for weeks now.
He should have taken a yellow and had a well earned rest mid week.

      1. He was late to react, and when be went down for the ball he wasn’t sure if he was going to catch it or deflect it. That’s what I saw. Regardless, it was a ball a serie c level GK shouldn’t let in.

Fofana was atrocious on the goal, no argument there. But that’s beside the point.

  9. Same 💩 same 🚽.
They came with more energy in the first 20,30 minutes and after that it was same ol same ol.
If it’s not a counter attack these players can’t create any scoring chances. No ball or body movements.
This team needs a dynamic midfielder who can pass the ball. I watched Ricci today, he ain’t it. He is Italian Asllani and Milan needs Hakan or Barella.
Reijnders needs to play further back and initiate the play build up. Fofana is awful at it and should just play the Kessie role, push people around, break up the lanes and give the ball up to another player immediately.
A player that can send a decent cross is a must as well. My eyes are bleeding of watching Leao attempt crosses. If it’s not a counter he is non existent.
Calabria was good today but he was nowhere to be found on the Cagliari goal.
Theo was the MOTM for me.
Fofana was the worst, misplaced pass after misplaced pass and gave up on so many occasions including the goal that Maignan should save.
Abraham and Pulisic has to score those chances.

    1. Well said. We need to bring Reijnders back a bit. That AM role is God forsaken in this team. Neither he, Pulisic, RLC, CDK can play there. We all thought Brahim was bad in that role but he wasn’t all bad.

Leaos crosses are the worst. The video coach needs to show him the 1000 times he has attempted that same cross. Out of those. Maybe three goals has bern created…

    2. There’s a lot to unf*ck with this team. SuperCoppa was a good jolt but there’s a lot still to fix for Conceicao. This will take time.

  10. Disappointing draw that’s for sure. However, I’m a bit more optimistic after the game. The guys played like a team. Calabria in the first half was pretty good compared with emmerson, second half he looked like he ran out of gas since he has been warming up the bench for so long. Fofana and Mike was the culprit for that goal. But he too looked like he was gassed out. Been playing every game, plus that supercoppa. And as of Mike, i see people already bashing him. That happens to every goalkeeper guys. And no one mentions that super save in the first half. Relax boys, he is still a great goalie. We do need a strong forward, who can bully the defence and puts the chances away. Anyways, we had plenty of chances tonight, and sometimes things don’t work out. But i see a big improvement or desire to play compared with fonseca’s team.

  11. The hopeful result of this is Calabria and Gabbia are starting from here on out. Because I think starting tomori and emerson the rest if the year will give me a heart attack in my 20s. Nice to actually see a competent display in RB for once from Davide, but tomori causes me to panic every 15 minutes, and it’s exhausting… fofana was the worst today yes, but given he’s had no rest all season this was bound to happen to him and Tiji. We need some adequate back up

  12. How disappointing. We had 22 attempts, 10 on target plus two woodwork hits and a couple of other good attempts nullified by offsides. They had 2 attempts on target. One, a great save by Mike. The other one, a big blunder by Fofana and Mike, and somehow the opponents still managed to not lose the game. So we’re the team that can beat Real Madrid, Juve, and Inter twice, but we can’t beat Cagliari twice. Unreal.

Maignan – one great save but the big blunder cost us the victory. Maybe one cancels the other but I still feel very unhappy about the big blunder, so, 5

Calabria – our best player tonight. Whoa. So much better than Emerson, tonight! Let’s hope he can keep it up and if he can, he deserves a late contract renewal. MOTM for us. Good in both phases. 7.5

Tomori and Thiaw, no mistakes, solid, 6.5 for each.

Theo, several good actions, a great pass for Puli when he hit the woodwork and Morata poached it in. Wasn’t great trying to rescue Fofana in their goal but the fault was mostly Fofana’s and Mike’s; Theo tried to help but was late to it mostly because Fofana got their forward to have a huge avenue ahead of him. Considering his great pass to Puli which ended up resulting in a goal, for that alone he deserves a pass. But no more because he could have been more clinical in other occasions including the last free kick that he hit powerfully but right at the goalie. 6

Musah, very good game, he was the only one really completing well his passes. He deserves more than a simple pass, so, 6.5

Fofana, atrocious. His worst game for Milan. Huge blunder in their goal, not only lost the ball but failed to fight back to try to recover it. Yes, he tried to avoid the yellow not to miss the next match but he should have worried about this match because his blunder cost us two points. Then he seemed to try to redeem himself by trying to score but always with poor aim except one good shot saved by the goalie. This made us waste offensive actions. Uncharacteristically, he was our worst player tonight. 4

Puli, hit the woodwork twice and one of them was converted by Morata but then missed an incredible sitter on a great pass by Rafa. Also had a great shot saved by the goalie in second half. Positive display but one regrets the missed sitter which does lower a bit his score, so, 6.5

Reijnders, tried hard but imprecise. 5.5

Rafa, was double and tripled market but was unable to shake it off which he should have done, and his passes and crosses were mostly mistaken and uncalibrated except one for Puli who should have scored. Tried hard but that’s not enough. One of his most forgetful games. 5; not lower because he should have had an assist if Puli hadn’t missed it.

Morata, had the merit of scoring and recovered some good balls. Discreet start but grew more as the game went on. 7 for the score that saved one point.

Abraham, missed two incredible sitters. Did not contribute to the opponents’ score like Fofana and Mike did, so he wasn’t our worst player but still, you can’t miss two sitters like this as a center forward. 4.5

Jimenez, entered the game well, tried hard, I do think that there is a case for a PK on him as the defender did seem to pull him back before he could shoot what could have been the winner; I mean the late one inside the box, not the earlier foul outside the box also not called. Upon complaining to the ref, got a yellow. He was pretty furious and Tijjani had to get him out of there otherwise he’d have received a red. I give him a pass for the effort and the soul; 6.

Omoregbe, not enough minutes for a vote.

Mister Conceição, this draw was not his fault. Either one of the three missed sitters would have brought us the 3 points. The team did have good attitude and effort. Everybody tried hard; too bad that most players were not clinical or precise, and a big mistake by two defenders (Mike and Fofana) robbed the mister of his third victory in a row. I still think that even though we didn’t win, we played way better than when we played the same Cagliari under Fonseca. I give the mister a pass, 6.

    1. Hm OK, reading others, I may have missed an early mistake by Tomori, so, while Thiaw should keep his 6.5, maybe Tomori should be a bit lower at 6.

Someone complained that Calabria was nowhere to be found in their goal. Whoa. The goal didn’t happen in Calabria’s sector at all. The goal was entirely on Fofana and Mike, not on Calabria. K’s assessment of Calabria is criminal. He WAS indeed our best player tonight. At one point he ran out of gas and was subbed out but until then, he was pretty good.

      1. Umm. The counter attack started down our right side where after Fofanas bad pass we had Nobody back to stop it.
Please explain to me why when we should’ve been protecting the lead, late in the second half up 1-0, that our RB is farther up the pitch than our forwards? If we had anyone back there it would have stopped the counter straight away. But no, our RB is up around the other team’s box where he is completely useless anyways.

        1. Yeah, Calabria just casually ignores the coach’s instructions to wander high up the pitch for no reason lol

What is it with you and that Brazilian right-back anyway? Do you look the same or something? All this love…

          1. This dude is Emersons biggest fan, and just craps on anyone else who plays at RB. Ignore him. He’s been making excuses for Emerson since his 1st game💀

        2. Holy crap kiddo. What on earth did Davide do to you? Screw your wife? Take your parking spot at the mall? You have the most MASSIVE hate boner for him, and for no reason other than you were desperate to have Emerson be good apparently. Go drink some tea and think about your life…

          1. More intelligent comments from the Calabria apologists. I notice a pattern where they all sound like angry little 13 year olds. That’s about right.

    2. Fofana losing the ball in the opponents’ half doesn’t mean he’s at fault when a shot that bounces 3 times before it gets to the keeper goes in. It was 100% a goalkeeping error.

  13. Calabria made this Felici kid look like cristiano ronaldo and he gets MOTM… one good intervention doesn’t erase everything else.

Otherwise, Pulisic did alright actually, and Moratta didn’t do anything apart from the goal (which was a nice hussle, admittingly).

Mussah on the other hand, doesn’t seem to understand his role when he’s in the middle

  14. Can’t expect to have morata and Tammy as our forwards and not miss loads of chances . Cheapskate management we are long due a fit hungry beastly striker

  15. I think we’ve seen enough of Leao. If it wasn’t for his dynamic athleticism he would be a C level player.

He’s a sub at best and that’s all he should be used for.

I’m hoping these guys were just tired from their schedule because not to be able to beat an 18th place team is scary. And not in a good way.

    1. LOL. Another idiot who thinks that Rafa is bad. Yes, he had a bad game and I granted him just a 5, and yes, we all know that he is an irregular player with ups and downs, but did you somehow miss the 3 goals we scored on Inter of which he participated in all 3, just as recently as this past Monday? A sub? A C level player? LOL.

      1. Name calling is not necessary and is the reason why that descriptor really matches your logic and not mine.

You judge his all around skills because of one game. Go look at his game in it’s totality over the last few years. Look at the mistakes lack of vision and tell me if he had average athleticism if he would ever see the field?

        1. The last few years? You mean, the last 3 seasons when he had 28 to 30 goal participations each season, every season? The season when we won the Scudetto and the official league voted him Most Valuable Player considering all players in all 20 teams? Those seasons?

Yankee, huh? Maybe you should stick with watching baseball.

        2. Thinking a bit more about what you said.

          1) You are lying. You just CAN’T have watched Rafa’s last few seasons and still spout the nonsense you just spouted.

          2) Most likely, Yankee, you joined the Milan fan base once RedBird acquired Milan and once Pulisic and Musah joined. That is, for at most one year and a half (betrayed by your complete ignorance of how Rafa has done for the last several seasons). Don’t read me wrong, I love Pulisic, I think he’s been our best signing in a long time, and I usually defend Musah’s potential. But no, you are NOT a long-term Milan fan or else you’d have known about Rafa’s huge goal participation production in the last several seasons, every season. And for your information, ever since Puli joined, him and Rafa have had the EXACT same number of goal participations (for your information, that’s goals + assists): 39 for each. That’s the player you think is a Serie C level player? LOL. So, is Pulisic also a Serie C level player? Because, you know, his production is EXACTLY the same as Rafa’s. They both share the highest goal participation among all Milan players, and top three in the league for the same period (together with Lautaro Martinez). So, a top 3 Serie A player, is in your enlightened opinion, a Serie C player. Ridiculous.

          3) I’m usually not a xenophobe but it is just a FACT that we Italians are generally more knowledgeable about football than you Yankees. While soccer has indeed been growing in the United States (and I do like that!), there is still no comparison regarding all the tradition and the decades of expertise we’ve accumulated, not to forget our 4 World Cup victories, tied with Germany and only behind Brazil. How many have your USMNT won? Last I checked, zero. See the difference?

          4) Unlike you, I’m a lifelong AC Milan fan. I’ve been following the team for decades.

          5) And again, stop lying. It doesn’t look good and it’s easy to spot.

          6) Now go back to your FIFA videogame and to watching baseball, kiddo.

          1. Forget about your projections my friend. You couldn’t coach u10 girls based on your logic.

So answer my question, if Leao didn’t have this extraordinary physical ability would he be a Serie A player? Its a very simple question .

No one said , he can get goals or assists but what are you looking at , skill or Speed.

You can’t honestly watch him play and go wow ,let me take on 3 player when there is an open man in the box and be impressed with that.

And I’m living in yankee land but my origins are next door to Italy. Sorry , wrong again.

    2. That’s a reeeeeeally poor take. Says more about your inability to recognize talent when you see it than about anyone insulting you over it …

You must have been asleep during the second half of the SuperCoppa.

      1. Exactly, LOL. I mean, when someone spouts a truly idiotic opinion, it’s OK to call it like it is: that he’s an idiot; just a fact. It’s not nice to do it but it’s justified, like you said.

        1. Dude, all you are this angry troll that spouts idiotic comments and insults anyone with a differing opinion.

Do you know what you are projecting but not saying that everyone else sees but you?

That you have a very small micro phallus. It’s not the end of the world. Just move on with your life.

      2. Pace and speed is not talent, it’s pace and speed.

I’ll ask you than, if he had average physical pace and athleticism does he make it on the field?

        Its a simple question.

          1. Yankee. See my other reply re what else he offers with his skills.
You don’t rack up as many assists as Rafa gets across multiple seasons without a high level of technical skill.

        1. That’s a strong man argument. By your logic take away anybody’s main attributes, then where is the talent? Everybody averages out then. Take away Vinny’s speed and dribbling, what do you get? That’s what makes them special. The traits that most other players don’t have.

          1. come on, I hate Vinicius but he is not only speed and pace. He plays in a different league compared to Leao. There is a reason he is at Madrid and Leao at this mediocre Milan

          2. The difference between vinny speed is that he can see the field and play with his fellow players. He has an all around game. You guys are missing the big picture.

Look how sloopy Leao is and tell me you see the same out of Vinny . He has a very low soccer IQ.

His main attribute is his pace and size.

        2. Dude did you see the assist Leao got for Tammy in the Supercoppa final?
He purposefully hit it into the ground so that it bounced over the diving CB and Goal keepers outstretched leg.
          Incredible skill.

Along with so many other assists and goals he has made.
Leao is highly skilled and his pace takes him to another level.

To dismiss his obvious talent because he also has incredible speed is perplexing.

  16. It’s incredible, for once Calabria has a great game and people continue to hate on him. It seems like these people watched a different game because looking at several other sites with Pagelle articles, everybody gave Calabria high marks.

What’s with the Milan fan base that we tend to bash our players so harshly even when they do well?

    1. Because the actual MOTM was Felici the guy Calabria was marking. A kid nobody heard about before, and probably ever again (unless we get linked to him …lol). I guess also conceicao didn’t think he was the best on the pitch if he was the first to be subbed.

      1. MOTM for Milan. This site doesn’t rate the other team’s players. For that, you should go to that other team’s pages. Whoa, so you don’t even understand that part??? LOL.

Of course he was subbed out. He ran out of gas precisely because he did a lot, while coming back from almost no minutes.

        1. How can the guy marking the motm period (and I get that this site isn’t rating the other team, god you’re so dense) can be motm for milan? Do I need to spell it out to you? Is that clear enough?

          1. I’d say that calling Felici the MOTM is completely unwarranted and ridiculous.

Did you somehow miss the fact that Cagliari had 2 miserable shots on goal and 6 overall? While we had 10 and 24?

In the land of the blind, the one with one eye is king.

Felici got an assist we can barely call as such, as the play was gifted to Cagliari by Fofana which resulted in a goal granted to Cagliari by Mike, that’s all. Otherwise, the rest of Cagliari’s production was abysmal, so calling him the overall MOTM is completely preposterous. So, he assisted on a HUGE collective defensive brain fart we produced. Big deal. A brain fart of which Calabria was not a part. And then for the rest of the game his team couldn’t do anything right except falling to the ground simulating injury to stall the game.

If anything, their MOTM should have been their goalkeeper who prevented several goals; every one of them would have resulted in them losing the game.

Which is, by the way, how the OBJECTIVE FotMob algorithm saw it, granting to Cagliari’s goalkeeper the highest score all players considered. By the way, Zortea got the second highest score for Cagliari. So Felici wasn’t even the top for their abysmal team, much less, the overall MOTM. That’s just YOUR misguided opinion and you are trying to pass it as fact. Fail.

But hey, genius, you wouldn’t understand any of the above, would you? And I”M the dense one? LOL.

          2. Valiant try, but you can’t explain anything to these people. They are really thick. Like you said Felici made Calabria look like he was stuck in cement several times and they all want to talk about one tackle he made and make him MOTM. It’s beyond a joke.

          3. @ Luigi, The only thing you are partially correct about is that Calabria wasn’t involved in the goal we gave up…
But he sure as he’ll should’ve been if he was anywhere near where he should’ve been playing we could’ve stopped that counter straight away. It’s not like Fofana turned it over near his own goal, it was well into the other team’s half. They then passed to their left (our right) and NOBODY was back defending. Meanwhile Calabria is up in the other team’s box doing what?

        2. Great game??? Decent game. He completely bungled an awesome chance from Pulisic. Sure he’s not an attacker but that was just plain freaking poor.

    2. Those are not real Milan fans. They are people who decided to follow Milan after Redbird took over and hate any player that threatens a Redturd like Emerson.
Don’t look for logic, its not there.
Calabria was a huge upgrade tonight. All the media outlets say it, the commentators regularly mentioned how good he was and oh after watching with our own eyes, we know it.
It’s like listening to Trump, truth does not come into it

      1. Can we stop with the “not the real fans” talk. Everyone thinks differently. This tribalism mentality needs to stop. Just agree to disagree.

        1. There are people here who hate Maldini, is that a Milan fan?
Now we have willfully ignorant people with no respect for the club that hate Calabria a man who is a born and raised Milanista.
You don’t have to think he is the best ever, but the gall of people to call him out after a good performance just shows a baseless hatred for him, why? They are not Milan fans and I refuse to let that go

          1. “There are people here who hate Maldini, is that a Milan fan?”

Um, pretty sure there aren’t. And even if there were it wouldn’t mean they’re not a Milan fan. The club comes above the man surely..

          2. Good… Bad…. it’s all subjective. You can love Maldini the player but dislike Maldini the director. Curva whistled Maldini on his last game at San Siro saying Baresi was the true captain. Doesn’t mean they aren’t fans…

The fact the Calabria dedicated his career is an admirable trait but doesn’t reflect his contributions on the pitch. Wanting a RB who’s better than Emerson or Calabria does not mean you aren’t a Milanista. Just means you want a better quality player for your team.

You can love Calabria, while I don’t and we can both still be fans. Just need to drop the “true fan” talk. Just agree to disagree. A lot of folks here have differing opinions.

      2. You are probably right. We just got a guy who calls himself Yankee (haha, funny, right?) and he thinks that Rafa is a Serie C-level player. LOL. As in, the New York Yankees, the other major sports team owned by Gerry Cardinale. A baseball team. And this guy feels himself qualified to spout nonsense about a very good football player (who yes, is irregular; we know that; with good and bad games, but can be quite a genius in certain games, such as the Supercoppa Final; a former league MVP… and he thinks he should play in the Serie C. Unbelievable).

Yes, absolutely. Calabria did great and there is HUGE consensus in the Italian press about it; still, these Yankees think otherwise. It must have to do with the fact that Calabria is Italian.

I’m not usually xenophobic and I’m not inherently against the Americans. I love Pulisic, and I think that Musah has improved a lot, especially in the last three games; looks promising.

But someone fails to see how well Calabria did tonight, and bash him?

Even someone called Baresis Dream? Unless he cleverly disguised himself with that screen name, this one is probably not an American, so, that’s disappointing that he can’t see how well Calabria did tonight.

        1. I completely agree.

In a perfect world we would have 11 Pulisic who were born in Milan and raised at the club.

The very signing of Emerson is an insult and short sighted. We need players who have a connection with the club

    3. I agree with you on a lot but Calabria was beaten often by B level competition today. The only positive was his last second tackle, just like Emerson every time he touched the ball in the offensive third Milan lost possession… he was not the worst player today that goes to Morata and Abraham but I saw nothing that suggests Calabria is a better player than Emerson. I even his bias as he’s been one of my favorite players but the last two seasons even I can’t back him to start anymore…

      1. Agree – except I think Moratta’s work rate was phenomenal – he just doesn’t score enough. As far as Royal and Calabria go it’s a lose/lose. I don’t know why everyone’s arguing about it constantly these last weeks… They’re both as bad as each other – we need a right back. (And a dm and a striker 😅)

        1. Honestly…. The difference between them is so microscopic that you might as well split atoms. In fact the only time we’re comparing the two is if one is so poor that you can’t help but want the other.

Sad fact is that at 34, Kyle Walker would be head and shoulders better than both of them in their prime…

          1. The issue is management decided to dump Kalulu and bring in Emerson, thereby losing an ideal player for the position and a good pro while also insulting the captain.
There needs to be harmony in a team. The management create more problems than they fix.

Now we actually do need a RB and it is Emerson who should leave. Calabria is better, but most importantly he is a homegrown player.
If you believe they are both bad then surely keep the homegrown player as back up

        1. Can you remind me how many crosses did Calabria complete? How many passes in the final third? What about marking. He had a few moments in the defensive third but was otherwise ineffective. Some dude no one has ever heard of kinda owned him up and down the pitch.

  17. Way way way too many scuola media long distance shots. These stupid shots cause turnovers.
Pulisic’s shots at least were ones that should have been taken. He deserves about a 6, but we know this rater’s bias. As always, Pulisic was somehow involved in the goal. He does need to feint the goalkeeper a bit more instead of being so focused on the ball. Expand awareness and know where the keeper is. The entire team fired shots too direct at the goalkeeper.

    1. Yes, I’ve been saying it forever, we will run Fofana to the ground. He is a great player but he must be exhausted, and with that, pass precision suffers and you get more error-prone. Next, he could collect a muscle injury. Fofana has had multiple great games but he can’t keep it up forever, and today we saw the consequence of Fofana not having a proper deputy.

  18. They need to sign a deputy to Fofana this month. He’s burning out fast. A striker who actually knows how to win space in the box and score wouldn’t hurt either. Or maybe try Jovic, idk.

  19. I keep checking the news to see if Conceiçao has actually killed Fofana since the final whistle 😬.

I think it’s the first time we’ve dropped points against a weaker side this season where I’ve come away feeling like we should have won. Miles better but as many have said, the problems are clear.

Very welcome surprise to see Omoregbe come on and then he made two very worthwhile contributions – I suspect we might see more of him!

    1. Good to see a deputy to Puli and Leao who is not Chuk. Both are gonna need a spell.

Jimenez was a nice stand in but Bob was clearly dialed in to the job. Hope to see more of him AND Jimenez in the weeks to come.

Anyone noticed we are seeing rather a lot of the kids this season? Camarda, Jimenez, Liberali and now Omoregbe.

      Hoping this continues.

      1. I think it is a combination of injuries plus a lack of Academy/federation trained players on our list. As a result this means we only have the 17 open slots plus Calabria, Sportiello, Florenzi and Gabbia as over 23 local trained slots. Therefore we very reliant on youth team players for depth.
Note I’m included Terracciano in the youth ranks. Believe he is still under 23.

  20. Back to to Earth for us!

Attitude was good but end product was lacking.
We need a proper striker NOW!!!

Leao was awful and we had no backup because the wisemen decided to get rid of Okafor who has been good at coming on and operating in tight spaces like tonight.

I hope Tiji great form does not peeter out now under a new coach and system. His ability to progress the ball is lost as AM.
    433 would suit us better.

Calabria was great, what a nice change.
We should get a new RB but it is Emerson who should make way.
Though it’s nice to see Jimenez get a shot too.
He and Theo would suit a 343

More dropped points, which is frustrating but hopefully we improve. We made chances but lack a clinical finisher.
Pulisic again came up with the goods, bravo to him

    1. Tiji moving back with Fofana or going to a 433 or even a 442. He seems to need to have a broader view of the field to keep his rhythm.

Not sure why we persist with 4231

  21. Permainan Asli Inkonsistensi Milan mulai Kambuh lagi. Jual pemain seperti Leao,Morata,Abraham,Loftus,Tomori dan Ganti Cardinale beserta Jajarannya.

  22. Calabria did have a fairly solid game tonight. It was good to see considering he only recently returned from injury. Milan’s crossing and shooting was off tonight.

  23. When you have 24 shot but can only score one goal , then that means your atacker terrible. ACM need one striker poacher type that can score 20++ goal / season ( not tammy or morata of course). Fofana are tired, need one physical DMF to compete with fofana

  24. Calabria and Gabbia should start not just because they’re Italians (you won’t see me using that argument for Terraciano), but because they clearly perform better than Royal and Tomori. I am among Fik’s biggest supporters, but for some reason his form dropped dramatically after the scudetto and nothing has changed to this day. He nearly costed us an early goal today.

Other than that, I’d agree that Calabria perhaps was the most consistent in his performance with his intervention in the first half proving vital (although he was the one who kept the player onside in the first place). Pulisic deserves a mention as usual, but he missed a pretty clear opportunity. Fofana and Abraham’s actions are beyond rational explanation, so I won’t even attempt that. Mike made a mistake, but also a super-save, so I give him a pass. A rather disappointing performance from TJ – quite energetic as usual, but not nearly as effect as a creative player should be in complicated games against low block teams. His passing and decision-making became very bad after Cagliari’s equalizer. Him and Fofana not having deputies has been an issue for a while and apparently, we’re starting to see the predictable results of this.
Morata scored an easy one, but he should find these positions more often. His great work-rate simply isn’t enough anymore and our No. 9 problem is worsening by the day. Leao tried, but his no-look crossing directly towards goal kick is atrocious. Theo had a normal game, he pushed forward more regularly after the break, but his attacking contribution wasn’t great. Perhaps he could’ve done better with the free kick in the last minute as well. Musah was decent, but nothing special. He rarely shines in this type of games, because he is better at defending and counterattacking from our half.

Conceicao has a lot of work to do. He is not to blame for the points lost. A lot of chances were missed and all of our players should make a greater effort. We have a mentality issue and it’s clear as day.

    1. The team isn’t able to beat the low block yet – that’s the biggest thing Conceicao will need to iron out, because we need the points against the lower teams.

When teams pack the final third, there’s not a lot of space to exploit, that’s why you see the likes of Reijnders struggle – because there’s just no room to run through/into. And the build up isn’t fast enough to catch them in transition. So we build from the back, and by the time the ball gets to the final third, they had 11 players behind the ball.

As for Tomori, Conceicao mainly appreciates his recovery speed since the CB’s push up so high. Otherwise, Gabbia is positionally astute and far superior to Tomori.

  25. First, I won’t blame the coach on this one. In the end he just barely took the team and it will take time before he can improve things. Actually, unless we’re relegated, I won’t even regret getting Conceição because of how bad Fonseca made us.
To agree with one of the posts above, these players can’t do sh!t if it’s not a counter attack. Against Inter it was quote and quote “easier” because Inter (and Juve) wanted to win, but against teams like these that came to get one point, you have to learn to break the deadlock somehow even with closed spaces and unfortunately tonight, we were too clumsy, to inefficient and lacking the final touch and it just took one mistake from behind for Cagliari to earn the draw.
Maignan saved one crucial shot but could have done better in the goal Cagliari scored.
For me in this game, the MOTM was actually Theo, not because he was great (he wasn’t), but he didn’t do any big mistake either.
I thought Calabria did well also, but he was nowhere to be found when Cagliari scored (although many other players share the blame on this one).
Jimenez was a bit clumsy when came in but he could or should have gotten an assist, I definetly understand Conceição’s idea here.
Tomori and Thiaw weren’t bad, but they could have negociated some actions a bit better and offensively, Tomori should work a bit more on his passes. Gabbia should start as soon as possible.
In the midfield, Fofana was a disaster tonight, and Reijnders was slightly better. Perhaps this is the result of both of them playing EVERY single game but in the end they’re a bit out of form for a few games now and those shots from way out that Fofana took were atrocious. I reiterate this, but we desperatly need other midfielders to take the torch from them.
In contrast, Musah isn’t bad since Conceição, although he isn’t great either.
Leao was a walking or running disaster. His shots, crosses and dribbles were innacurate, clumsy and thoughtless. I hope that he understood how bad he was when was subbed out.
Pulisic was better and was behind our goal, but in the end he was also very clumsy tonight and missed sitters.
Morata did well to score a sitter, but aside from that he was nowhere to be found.
I’m sorry if I ever said that we need to make Abraham’s transfer permanent, I was wrong and I apologize. The man can’t score anything if he isn’t set up 2 cm in front of an open goal. I’m flabbergasted on how innacurate a striker can be.
If I learned things from this game is that we need to learn how to play against teams that park the bus. We need a creative midfielder (not Reijnders) who can break the deadlock in this types of games. We need to be able to rotate both Fofana and Reijnders and finally we need a striker who can actually score, not players who need dozen of opportunity to score once. I don’t care if we end up paying 80M€ or 100M€, we need those big numbers type of strikers.
(I retyped this because my first comment was swallowed)

    1. Good comment, well done for sticking with it.

You know who can crack a defense in these games….DYBALA
The man we should have got for free.

Before people start raving about his injuries, think about it. Leave him on the bench when playing the better teams who attack us and play 433.
When we face this situation against the smaller teams play 4231 put him in and watch him open them like a key.
Give roma Alexis and take Dybala

Oh and of course that does not negate the need for an actual bl00dy striker!

    2. “Leao was a walking or running disaster. His shots, crosses and dribbles were innacurate, clumsy and thoughtless.”

C level player performance. It was just hard to watch. I can’t stand him. Sorry guys.

  26. Meanwhile Tonali is taking the EPL by storm as a DM. If I were Milan’s manager, I would splash the cash and beg Sandro to return.

      1. Don’t take Cardinale bots to serious. Tonali has no problem starting in Newcastle. Their coach does rotates and rest players from time to time. So they are using that out of context. Recently Tonali just scored two banger goals too and even almost got a hat trick as a DM. They love him in Newcastle.

      1. Bro, when was the last time you bothered updating your informations ?
Tonali has started in the last 7 games of Newcastle and overall started in 9 out of the last 10 games of his club. The total was 7 wins (consecutively) 2 draws including against Liverpool and they lost the only game where he didn’t start against Brentford whom they managed to beat when he started in the EFL Cup. By the way Newcastle is currently fifth 1 point from fourth place, 5 points from 2nd place and 11 points from 1st place, which is way better than us currently in our league.
Spaletti, the headcoach doesn’t seem to think that he is mediocre right ?
All your comments tonight were trying to undermine Calabria, you said nothing about any other player and this comment you just shown that you don’t follow the EPL.
Sorry but the troll here is you.

  27. I don’t think this team understands the concept of space and movement. Players standing around while Theo shoulder dips for 30 seconds. Our CFs making the same run and these piss poor crosses and 30 yards shots. And the only time these guys get a shot on frame is if it’s straight down the pipe.
Doesn’t Mike wear contacts? Did one fall out not only did he complete misjudge the ball but it looked like he was so slow to react like he didn’t track the ball at all.
Calabria and Emerson are of the same quality average to below average neither one is a starter quality player at this point.
Morata work rate is good but his movement and lack of positioning really blunts the attack in these type of games.
Tammy apparently is only capable of making 1/10 sitters so might as well keep him on the bench as I’m pretty sure Calabria would be more potent than him in the 10

  28. How would Fofana explain that?

Man gave the ball away when everyone was pushing forward then knowing he was among the few players left behind to defend, you would think he’d be defending with his life, instead he criminally pulled himself out of the way for the Cagliari player to run through before jogging behind or say standing there as nobody was able to see him in action again before Cagliari scoring the move.

It’s what you call singlehandedly gifting a goal.

    A mess

  29. I don’t think this team understands the concept of space and movement. Players standing around while Theo shoulder dips for 30 seconds. Our CFs making the same run and these poor crosses and 30 yards shots. And the only time these guys get a shot on frame is if it’s straight down the pipe.

  30. How is a player that was subbed off first with half an hour left in the game be the MOTM?
He would have had to score 2 goals during the time he was on the pitch to be named MOTM when he played only 2/3 of the game.

      1. Since you watched the game and you assume i didn’t, if Calabria was so good why was he subbed so early in the game? Was he injured? Was he tired? Was the game already put to bed so they were putting young players in to get some experience? Why would a player putting MOTM performance be taken out while Milan is chasing a result?

    1. Yeh he played alright mostly but watching him get left for dead multiple times in one game and get yanked early hardly screams MOTM performance in my book…

    2. Go away, troll.

He is recently back from injury and hasn’t had too many minutes. So, he ran out of gas, which is what explains his being subbed out. Up to that point, he had been our best player, and that’s a huge consensus in all of the Italian press (but of course, you wouldn’t know it. I bet you don’t even speak Italian, fake rossonero).

I don’t think Calabria has been doing well for several months. He looks as bad as Emerson. But tonight he did well, and one would hope that he’d keep it up because otherwise we have to put up with Emerson.

Failing to see it is just another demonstration of how idiotic you are. You just can’t issue any correct opinion on this site, just provocative posts, which is the hallmark of the troll you are.

      1. At some point you will have to start charging me for living in your head.
How is “he did well” equal to he was MOTM?
        Stick to glazing your Rafa.
        That’s your shtick.
How did Rafa do today BTW?
So much for it was Fonseca’s fault for your Rafa being ass.

      2. This response just shows how personal it is for you and why you can’t see it objectively. He made a nice tackle, he was also beaten several times and was way out of position on the attack leading to the goal. Not to mention the man he was marking won the actual MOTM… Giving Calabria MOTM for an at best an adequate performance is a JOKE.
If Emerson gave this exact same performance he would’ve gotten a 5.5 rating and you would be screaming about how bad he is. The double standard and hypocrisy here is shocking.

        1. Buddy. Take a look in the mirror. How often do you truly need to be here crying like a toddler because nobody likes Emerson. You have issues kiddo…

        2. You can’t fight everyone on Calabria. Just agree to disagree. Like I mentioned above, I’d take the 34 Kyle Walker over both Calabria and Emerson.

          1. That is because Walker at 65 years old with arthritis would be miles better than current Calabria and Emerson. Walker plays in another league football wise

        3. “If Emerson gave this exact same performance he would’ve gotten a 5.5 rating and you would be screaming about how bad he is.”
But Emerson CAN’T give this exact same performance, he just can’t?

    1. It’s kind of sad. He scores the winner against Inter (although Puli and Rafa were the true makers of that goal) and 5 days later he misses the two biggest sitters of the season.

      Yes, it’s frustrating.

  31. Pretty sure you’re trolling by making Calabria MOTM, lol. He’s better than Emerson but it was still a horrible performance. He kept getting burned and was a constant liability… If you think he was MOTM then we forgot what a good RB looks like.

    1. Haha that’s what I was thinking. I’m a fan so I’ll back both but there is no denying that both are below expectations

  32. I have to agree. If you consider this a great game by Calabria today then you’ve either seen too much of emerson, or just boosting him up. While he wasn’t bad, he had poor crosses all game, hes still in no man’s land. That Felici ran past him multiple times who came from serie c. He made some good tackles but guess what emerson does too at times. He wasn’t bad but no way was it in a MOTM display.

I actually saw so much more difference with conceicaos tactics. Way more direct and in all honesty it had nothing to do with him. Had pulisic not missed two sitters and pulisic missing we would have easily won this game, without even mentioning the goal against us.

Hopefully Kyle walker does come because then I won’t have to hear who’s better between the two cause theyll both be on the bench. Walker still playing at top level. Bring in a defensive mid for crying out loud!!! It would completely change this team if we had someone there to do the dirty work.

  33. Couple of thoughts: (1) Pulisic has two assists and a score taking the left-side corners. Why is not taking them now? (2) We attack the low block with too many players in the box; a few have no business there as their skill level is not good enough in a congested area. One strategy that I would like to see is Pulisic carrying the ball in the box, as he has the skill to get the shot or draw the penalty. (3) The long shot outside the box is a good strategy against the low block, but it’s critical that you get it on goal. Way too many such shots were wasted today skyed 10 feet over goal.

  34. Ok. First, Tammy is clumsy and not a finisher. Anyone who say Rashford is the answer for today’s game is talking crap. Today, and any game when a team loads the box, you need tall, power players. It ain’t pretty, but you are kicking balls into the box for headers. That’s it. I’ve always beed a fan of putting a tall CB in the box the last 10 mins.

  35. For some reason all Milans shots seemed to go directly at the goalkeeper today. Fofana needs to start on the bench against Como. For one he needs a break but also you can’t just quit on a play like he did when he misplaced his pass. Unacceptable. Theo, Pulisic, Morata, Thiaw, Musah, and Calabria were all decent today but no one really stood out. It sucks that the excitement and good feelings after the Super Cup were not followed up with a win today.

  36. Abraham should not stay at milan. He missed a lot of big chances for a STRIKER. Find another crinical striker or start giving Camarda more chance instead of Abraham

  37. Welp this didn’t go well. I hope coach learns from this game. It’s his first after all and still has enough credit on his side. We needed to be more intense for longer periods in order to break these sides. That’s the part I’m hoping we can achieve.
Other than that, the only thing great was seeing certain people in the comments have another meltdown on Calabria’s due to his MOTM rating hahaha 🤣🤣 🤣
